"As the reset (I refuse to call it 'great') continues to speed up at a breakneck pace, history all over the place is now being erased.

A whistleblower recently dumped over 7 gigs up on Internet Archive of items in our national parks that have been 'flagged for review' to be edited or removed because of a Trump executive order which is forcing park staff to take down any signage which might, and I quote, 'contain descriptions, depictions, or other content that inappropriately disparage Americans past or living (including persons living in colonial times)'. Although I missed the March 2025 EO (that'll happen when the president is signing so many EOs, it's like he's trying to win an award for the most ever signed), I spent some time recently going through the history that is being censored away and it is unbelievable how much is being erased. I couldn't get through everything, as there are hundreds of items and locations where this is happening, but I've seen enough to know how wrong this is.

Not only is this a blatant dumbing down of American history coming from the political side that used to pretend people who needed safe spaces were crybaby snowflakes but who themselves are now turning the whole country into an artificial safe space washed clean of any inconvenient history about its 'greatness,' but what is happening here is exactly what George Orwell warned everyone could happen in his novel-apparently-turned-instruction-manual '1984'.

I hardly know what else to say anymore these days, guys.
This is so insane. And so insanely stupid.
