Consciousness and Beauty

Is Beauty an Intentional Creation by Consciousness for Initiating Communication

Can we devise an experiment that indicates, shows, maybe even proves, that Consciousness has a desire to Communicate, and that one of its 'paths' for Communication is the creation of something Beautiful, so that a conscious observer will be enticed into wonderment over 'what is this, and why am I drawn to continue looking at it'?

To push it further, would Consciousness in its desire to communicate, admit that it does not want to be the only conscious entity in the Universe, it wants more conscious entities existing, so that Consciousness itself does not feel 'all alone' in the Universe.

And so, Consciousness creates Beauty, so as to 'detect entities' that do have consciousness, and would be available to communicate with, and it will do so when they pause while more 'brain activity' ensues in their 'awe-ness reaction' upon viewing something overpoweringly beautiful !!

A recently born living being's body -young 'uns are so full of potential they are beautiful and inspire us to care about them.

Now, how do we make an experiment to detect if Consciousness wants to communicate ? !!

This is likely a good time to "define our terms". PBS Nova on Wednesday April 1st did an hour on Consciousness and the Brain. But, I don't fully agree on their definition of Consciousness. They wanted to tie it totally to the physical development of the brain and nervous system.

I agree, the 'antenna' of the brain and its 'wiring' is a vitally important structure for the viewer of Beauty to possess !! in order to achieve that 'aweness reaction' that I suspect Consciousness is very desiring to have happen in the viewer, and that 'brain reaction' is how a 'conscious being' is 'recognized' by Consciousness with a capital C, in its 'Field of Consciousness' that 'reacts' when an 'aweness reaction' is detected in the Field.

I'm not fully competent to define Consciousness, or consciousness, or Beauty ; so, can we create a "Think Tank" here on CGI and communicate our ideas. Making 'postings' is mostly a 'one way' communication, tho we can 'talk back and forth' a bit by the subjects we post in reply to each other. Maybe we can work on 'fine tuning' this a bit further.

Chemical and Electrical activity is my basic requirement for consciousness in an entity to be confirmed as potentially existing.

In Existentialism, Existence precedes Essence. In that the 'body' must exist before the 'essence' or consciousness, can become an 'inhabitant'.

To take another view, how would Essence exist before the 'body' exists, and how would the 'Essence' then proceed to 'inhabit' the body. I'm not saying it doesn't happen this way, just trying to see how it would happen. Like the electrical nervous system and the brain create an 'attractive situation' for an 'essence' to then 'desire' to 'make its home' there. And 'where' was the 'essence' waiting or hanging out, while it waited for an attractive situation to 'make itself known' for possible habitation. Is there a 'waiting room' or 'queue' of essences in waiting. Like a big 'gum ball machine' where those 'making love' put in a penny and pull the lever and 'an essence' comes rolling down and into the 'reward spot' ! (as George Carlin might say)

In the view that the body co-creates the Essence as it develops itself more fully, and the Essence becomes more fully formed as the body grows further. That would mean the consciousness Essence develops along with the body Existence as it develops. Which to me is a valid theory, sort of like how an AI develops as its 'lines of code' are written, and the more 'lines' that get writ, the more the AI becomes intelligent or conscious or alive.

Yes, what is LIFE !!! and what is Consciousness !!! and does either exist outside of 'the body', and if so, where is it before it inhabits the body, and why does it need a body before it can communicate with other 'life forms' or 'essences'.

I'm not too sure I'd like Ascension, to be floating around without a body, what would I do. I like doing things, making repairs etc, I very much like the sense of accomplishment that follows repairing something, and when finished it works properly again ! I don't see how I'd get that without having a body. Maybe that's why 'demons' manipulate people into 'doing things', to get a sense of accomplishment, and if they can get a body to do something terrible is that an even bigger sense of accomplishment ?

Yeah, I started out with the views of Hard Science, so to speak, and I'm now ending up in Spiritualism and the like ! A very big surprise to me, tho probably should not be too unexpected.

Alright, let's get back to Beauty !!

I agree !!! and maybe this makes me a Tandem Existential Creationist in that the body and the consciousness component develop in Tandem, as they both grow further into existence, together.

In regards to Existentialism, Søren Kierkegaard is very difficult to read, those very long sentences with numerous 'qualifying phrases' that must be 'held in mind' while reading further on, and encountering more 'qualifying phrases' !! Also like my favorite writer Feodor Dostoevsky who dazzled me with long sentences and the necessity to have a good memory of what was said previously, so as to make sense of it all at the end of the sentence.

Examples of Beauty :

Plants, in their 'leaf patterns of growth', flowers in their arrangement of the petals, and the colors they use !!!

The proportions of the human body, in how females are so beautiful in their use of 'curves', and in males in how they embody 'strength' in their curves of muscle.

And maybe even in how the planets in our Solar System use 'color' as a way to differentiate themselves from each other.

When viewed from a distance, a Galaxy in itself, is one of the most beautiful of complex structures in the Universe !

And if the Crab Nebula was not a naturally occurring structure, what the heck is really going on there !!! ???
I want to go there and find out what the 'central object' is experiencing !!! , how it developed, and where is the vast amount of outrageous Energy it is radiating outward coming from ??? !!! My feeling is, The Crab Nebula will teach us more about the Real Physics of this Universe, than any other 'object' we have ever observed in the sky !!! Not only that, the Crab, M1, has a beauty that inspires my mind to explore ideas about its operations and essences, and the origin of its present in existence 'central body object'. M1 really got my attention and 'aweness reaction' ! so, come on Consciousness ! let's communicate !! (maybe we already have !)
