Everyone in this generation went through a learning phase to get used to computers and lap tops. Going online allowed us to use the computer as a library, encyclopedia, news source, communication and entertainment.
Then there was the advancement into using cell phones - first as a phone you could carry anywhere, then a text option, and then much of what a computer was used for was eventually adapted inside a small hand held cell phone.
They now have smaller cell phones you wear as a watch, and other medical checking devices you wear as a ring. They also have eyeglasses you can wear and see images in front of you at all times, and even communicate with people through the glasses with an ear piece.
I adjusted to the computer without too many problems, and in time was able to produce a newsletter for many years, and also write 15 books. At the same time I upgraded my older cell phone to a basic model for phone calls and texting.
However, I refused to use it as a full computer for a host of applications - simply because it was a very poor replacement of a computer.
The screen reduced the visual experience, and the sound was also limited and a poor imitation compared to a computer, and I didn’t want to watch research videos on the small screen a few inches square.
Through the years I have seen people in cafes - like 4 teens sitting at a table and all 4 are bent over staring at the cell phone, and not having any interaction with each other.
Human beings need healthy interaction with each other in their daily lives. But the cell phone compels them to look at the screen, like an addiction, to receive some kind of adrenaline rush on what they might see or hear next. Multiply that behavior to 300 million people in our nation and you can see that things have changed drastically and not in a good way.
Don’t get me wrong, cell phones are a useful tool for society in many ways, but it also has negative and dangerous ramifications that must be considered and dealt with.
Being retired I spend many hours a day during the week doing research on breaking news items, and searching for behind the scenes news that I can share online and with friends. I will also share humorous stories and events that reveal our daily human experience. I will then post them online and also send them to friends and family in an email.
However, when I check in with the friends and family at times, I discover they won’t even go to the computer to check their emails. This means that I could share with them some very critical information on world events, economic news, emergencies, the break out of war, or even weather or earthquake events, and they never see them.
When I will have dinner with a family member and start talking about what is going on with a war breaking out and how it happened and what might happen next, they give me that deer in the headlights look and repeat the mainstream media version which is totally distorted and full of half-truths.
I’ll say to them, "but I sent you an article I wrote on that subject that has all the details and tells the real story". But they have no clue what I’m talking about.
In every case they only communicate on their cell phone, and watch the mainstream news on occasion – which is proven to be globalist propaganda. In effect they have retarded their lifestyles and refused to see the real world for what it is - all because they are addicted to a modern gadget and have stopped using a computer at home.
The same type of chemicals that gamblers get is also affecting people when they use a cell phone. The experience then deceives them and makes them falsely feel they can get everything they need to know from a cell phone. This is a grand deception of this age.
It is not a can opener, a blender, a vacuum cleaner or a proper device to find hidden truth. It should not be relied on so much to the point it prevents people from healthy human interaction with others.
Consider when you watch people using a cell phone their eyes, head and neck are all strained looking down at it in an actual form of idol worship. All their attention is on that small rectangle screen, and they don’t see men, women and children around them. They miss out on real life while they literally worship that device.
But if they would only use it for certain things and then use a computer for a more thorough ability to do research, and then shut it OFF and join the human race again, they would be better adjusted as a human being.
The cell phone advancement has been a subtle curse against this generation. It is over-used, a poor replacement for a real computer, and consumes too much time away from being a human being.
Imagine how this is affecting small children as everyone is busy on cell phones. Consider how unhealthy it is for teens to be using a cell phone constantly, hours a day instead of learning to interact with their friends and enjoying nature and outdoor activities.
In addition to that there are a lot of people, even young teens that die in car wrecks because they use their cell phone while driving. Some will place themselves in dangerous situations outdoors on cliffs or on high rises and not watch where they step, and die trying to get the cell phone photo to send to people.
In my opinion the over use of a cell phone is a step too far in the use of modern technology. The important thing is to be balanced in everything we do, and put people first above gadgets, gambling, addictions and cell phone use. George Eaton
