: The Winnemucca Institute for Advanced Studies presents

: What Is Space . . . What Is Energy

: It is our "Space-Energy Continuum"

: Space, that inexplicable, and yet oh so real, whatever it is,

: that provides us the 3 Dimensional Volume in which we Live,
: and in which the Earth revolves around the Sun, and all the
: additional planets we see in our night sky, and the
: remainder of "everything else that exists" !! We
: can move our arm back and forth thru the Space in front of
: us, but what can we do to the Space itself ? Earth's
: atmosphere exists in Space, the space right in front of us
: ! and we breathe that air, and yet the Space involved in
: this action is itself 'untouchable' ! Space exists ! this
: is certain !! but what is Space in and of itself ?? This is
: really an unanswerable question. Space is truly a very
: great mystery, perhaps the greatest mystery of All !!!
: because Space, by logic, must extend to an 'infinite'
: distance, in all 3 dimensional directions !!! because if it
: doesn't, what is beyond its boundary ? . . . Lol . . . more
: Space !!! Space being the 3 dimensional volume in which
: "all things exist, and all events occur", would
: necessarily also include whatever is 'beyond the boundary'
: of the Space we are aware of here !!

: So, while you are pondering the most subtle and vast mystery
: of What Is Space ! have a gander at the additional grand
: mystery of What Is Energy !!! Energy being, "That
: which can neither be created nor destroyed." Energy
: simply changes the form it takes when too much duress is
: pressed upon it in one form, it will simply morph into a
: different form of its manifestations. Like when two large
: objects in the material world collide. A fast moving fully
: loaded cement mixer truck runs into a very thick steel
: reinforced concrete wall for example. There could be a
: spark of electricity, and a flash of light, the mixer body
: will begin to deform as the front bumper's metal yields
: from too much kinetic pressure against it from the wall,
: and the liquid mixture of sand, water, cement and gravel in
: the mixing cylinder sloshes forward and adds more force
: against the wall, which itself might begin to have its
: rebar bend while the hard concrete cracks and has some of
: its water of hydration forced out of chemical combination
: as a vapor ! and the cement returned to a powder !! Pieces
: of the wall and of the mixer truck may well begin to 'fly
: off in all directions' taking with them some escaping
: kinetic energy ! This might be a silly example, but it
: expresses how Energy will morph into different of its four
: manifested forms, when too much pressure is applied to one
: or more of its forms. The special form of matter can give
: up some of its electric form, and the radiative form can
: manifest from an excessive pressure as well. Chemical bonds
: can be reversed among the molecules and atoms, and even
: more energy will bleed off when pieces of the wall and
: truck fly apart ! All being changes of form that Energy has
: taken due to the collision event's applied pressures.

: Energy, in and of itself, is as inexplicable as Space is, in
: and of itself !! !!!

: That which extends 'forever' in all directions and is
: 'untouchable' !! and that which can 'neither be created nor
: destroyed' !!

: If that doesn't 'boggle the mind' I don't know what will !!
: Except this !! When you really study Energy, and the
: several 'forms' it will 'manifest itself ' into in this
: 'world', and you seek to find something other than Energy
: in this world ! and you cannot find anything other than
: Energy in this world and in this Universe !! and are now
: confronted with the very logical, and yet very unexpected
: conclusion, that, Energy is the Only Inhabitant of this
: Universe of Space !!!

: We truly Live in a "Space-Energy Continuum" !

: We have; an inexplicable and untouchable 'volume' in which we
: exist, and an inexplicable and existing 'energy' that is
: what everything is made of ! How does this new knowledge
: 'change' us ? or does it change us at all ? It might begin
: to make us wonder what is our 'purpose' here, and 'why do
: we exist'. When we go far enough 'around the circle' of
: trying to explain things we find that Science meets
: Religion, as both seek to explain and try to find the
: answers to basically unanswerable questions !! This is
: where Philosophy becomes manifest. Philosophy, the Greek
: words, Philo and Sophia, knowledge and the love of wisdom;
: combined into the word Philosophy, the Love of Wisdom and
: Knowledge ! More than Science and more than just Faith. We
: want to understand the Why of this World ! as well as the
: How !

: Unfortunately, some answers may be beyond our powers to divine
: the Truth thereof, at this time or at any time.
: Space and Energy, and what they both truly are, seem to be in
: that area.

: May the blessings of a peaceful Life bring satisfaction to a
: confusing and non-understandable world.
