People spend their entire lives searching for change.

They chase money, relationships, self-improvement, healing, enlightenment, purpose—anything that promises relief from the ache inside. Entire industries exist to help people “become their best self,” yet the world is more anxious, broken, and exhausted than ever.

But Scripture is clear:

There is one thing—not many—that truly changes a life.

That one thing is Jesus Christ.

Not religion.
Not self-help.
Not behavior modification.
Not church membership.

Jesus Christ Himself.

The Problem Isn’t Out There — It’s In Us

The Bible doesn’t flatter humanity. It diagnoses us.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
— Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV)

We don’t need better habits—we need new hearts.
We don’t need motivation—we need redemption.
We don’t need affirmation—we need forgiveness and truth.

That’s why self-focused solutions always fail. They try to fix the surface while ignoring the root. Today’s writing is not something that we think we know already, it is about a total surrender to God through Jesus Christ.

What Jesus Offers That Nothing Else Can

Jesus didn’t come to make bad people better.
He came to make dead people alive.

“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
— John 10:10 (KJV)

The change Jesus brings is not cosmetic—it’s transformational. This is the change tht you are seeking this week…To be TRANSFORMED.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

This is the ONE thing that changes everything:
Being in Christ.

Not Trying Harder — Trusting Fully

Most people stumble here. In self-help, we try harder. In transformation by giving our lives to Jesus Christ, we FULLY trust. We actually give Him all of our problems, worries and concerns.

They think following Jesus means:

Cleaning themselves up first

Being “good enough”

Earning God’s approval

But the gospel says the opposite.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)

You don’t change to come to Christ.
You change because you come to Christ. You trust Him to direct your path, THEN you let Him drive, without telling Him what He should be doing to answer your prayers. This is an active surrender to Jesus Christ. A commitment to follow Him wherever he will take you.

Why This ONE Thing Changes Everything

When a person truly comes to Jesus Christ:

• Guilt is replaced with forgiveness

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus…”
— Romans 8:1 (KJV)

• Fear is replaced with peace

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:7 (KJV)

• Death is replaced with eternal life

“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
— John 11:25 (KJV)

No philosophy does this.
No religion accomplishes this.
No amount of self-work produces this.

Only Jesus.

The Simplicity That Offends the World

The world hates this message because it strips away pride.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
— John 14:6 (KJV)

One way.
One Savior.
One cross.
One empty tomb.

And one decision that determines everything.

So, What Is the ONE Thing?

It’s not a ritual.
It’s not a rule.
It’s not a denomination.

It’s surrendering your life to Jesus Christ—fully, honestly, humbly.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
— Romans 10:9 (KJV)

That’s it.

And yet… it changes everything.

Final Thought

If you’ve been waiting for a sign, a breakthrough, or a turning point—this is it.

The ONE thing that will change your life isn’t found by looking inward.

It’s found by looking to the cross.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”
— Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)

And He is still changing lives today.

Will you accept the challenge this week? Will you surrender everything over to Jesus Christ, and TRUST Him to lead you through your life? When you do, as I have recently done, you will see a greater peace than you have ever known.

After doing this, when problems arise in your life, it is as if you will hear… “I’ve got this.” Then you will know, and trust, that someone else will be taking point on resolving the problem. You will then listen for the Savior to prompt you through the Holy Spirit as to what YOUR assignment is.

You no longer are not praying to God and telling Him how you would like your problem to be resolved. You are praying to Him and asking for an understanding of what YOUR assignment is, in the plan that He already has, in solving that problem.

There is such a mental shift here, and something that many righteous people have not done. We have been taught that we should strive harder, or do more, because that is what God wants us to do. We have to earn our own respect or standing in “Heaven.” NOT TRUE.

One of the greatest purposes for us coming to this earth is to recognize that we need Jesus Christ in our Lives. We are all sinners, and need His atonement. This is an amazing gift that He is offering for those who accept it…But in your search for peace and happiness, He has also instructed us to need HIM in our daily lives. We find fulfillment of this task when we turn our entire lives over to Him, and then trust letting Him drive us through life.

I have worked with an individual who said that she wished that she could give me all of her problems…That I would take them all away. Ironically, this is what I am sharing with you today. “Giving all of your problems to the Savior.” It is a reality that can happen, rather than just a wish.

You will not fully understand what I am trying to teach you today until you actually do this for yourself. Trust is a big part of letting these things go. But in reality, you will see that you are not actually letting them go, you are just placing those problems in the hands of someone who knows a much better away to resolve things. After doing this myself, it was as if I had just witnessed a personal miracle in my own life.

I again invite you to do this…Today, or this week. You will see another blessing in realizing how light your burden can be in trusting Him to carry it for you.

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

It is my prayer that you will all come to find the freeing outcome of giving everything to Jesus Christ, and letting Him drive you through the challenging roads of this mortal life.
