My grandmother was born 1913 and we're talking about floods and she said the old-timers talked about a mud flood. And that it destroyed nearly every thing.

Fascinating. I remember my Father talking about "The Tartars" back in the summer of 1973. I've lived my whole life believing everyone knew about them and only recently realised they were considered more of a myth. He talked about them as being an Empire centred in modern day Russia which influenced the whole world.

Also, the fact that there are no blueprints for many ancient buildings is striking. If you look them up online, the names of the people supposedly responsible for building them often seem fabricated, as if AI wrote the history. Many fires, the names are often repeated or unclear, and the time frames for constructing these buildings can seem impossible.
