I had Lyme disease for DECADES before it was properly diagnosed. The Lyme Literate M.D. who diagnosed me said that my immune system was plum tuckered out from trying to fight the infection for SOOO LONG!!! Therefore, I was getting false negatives on my Lyme testing. He said that we would start on antibiotics ASAP and wait 6 weeks to test for Lyme. That would give the antibiotics time to knock off enough spirochetes for signs to show up in the testing. Sure enough, we did the Igenex testing after 6 weeks and FINALLY got a highly positive test result!!! One problem, for you will be that M.D.s don't like to take advice/suggestions from patients. However, if you have been getting false negatives, after having symptoms for a LONG time, it certainly is worth a try. Plus, if your LLMD is not open minded, perhaps you might want to rethink your choice, if possible!

Also, the passing of Lyme from mother to her unborn baby is happening way more than currently reported - that's how I and my brother got it!!!

Finally, my LLMD is the one who told me that ticks were used as biowarfare agents during WWII - that's how my father got it and passed it on to my mother. There even was a book written about the use of ticks in WWII, and it continues to this day!!! It is thought, in the Lyme community, that this is one reason that Lyme has been denied and vilified for all these years - nobody wants to fess up to the dirty deeds!!!
