I have lived in this location for almost ten years. In that time, I have heard a chorus of coyotes in the night less than a dozen times. A month ago, they were right outside my bedroom window, and I mean right outside it… DIRECTLY outside it. Usually, all the other times, they are on the greensward, fifty to a hundred yards away.

Two nights ago, I was having a conversation with my friend, and I mentioned the coyotes. They hadn’t been around much in the last four or five years because increased construction of homes in the area has pushed the margins of actual wilderness well out from where they used to be, so I hadn’t heard the coyotes at all more than once or twice in that time.

I was talking about that very thing and how odd it was for them to show up right outside of the window, which they had NEVER done before. I said, Well, we won’t be hearing from them again for a while. Very shortly after, I was standing by that same window, which is a place I am never in for more than a few seconds unless I am meditating, and suddenly… the coyotes were right back where they had been the last time. That sort of coincidence just does not happen, and they always showed on the full moon before. This was not a full moon.
