But Judges Are Blocking Their Release

Alan Dershowitz, a former defense attorney for Jeffrey Epstein, said he wants to release “important” files on the dead sex criminal — and would happily turn them over to Piers Morgan — but judges are blocking him from doing so.

The famous lawyer, during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Wednesday, pleaded directly to the camera and asked for the green light to release the documents.

“I have them in my possession, my lawyers have them. Judge, let me give them to Piers Morgan. I want to give them to Piers Morgan,” Dershowitz said. “Why, Judge, are you preventing me from disclosing material that would be very, very important in putting a whole picture on this thing?”

Mike Nellis, a “social impact entrepreneur” and former advisor to Kamala Harris, a moment earlier, pushed back on Dershowitz. He said the files Dershowitz has “represent about 3% of what would be considered the Epstein Files” and that the White House and Justice Department could “end this at any time” by releasing the vast majority of files.

Dershowitz pushed back on that claim.

“No, they can’t. It’ll never end as long as judges are sealing depositions,” he said.

He continued, “I know what’s in those documents! I know something you don’t know! I know what’s in those documents. That’s why it’s so important to get these judicial documents out there, if the judge will give me permission.”

Dershowitz then made his aforementioned plea.

Since Dershowitz provided legal representation to Epstein, his communications with the deceased convicted child sex predator would be covered by the attorney-client privilege, which cannot be waived by the attorney and does not end with a client’s death.

His appearance on Uncensored came hours after Democrats released emails where Epstein said President Donald Trump “spent a few hours” at his house, but was the “dog that hasn’t barked”; 20,000 pages of Epstein-related documents were released by the House Oversight Committee soon after.

“It’s been leaked here, [and] I have some sympathy for the White House, in a way that makes it look as damning as possible,” Morgan said at the beginning of the episode. “However — I think it’s an important ‘however’ — it’s certainly, on the face of it, it is stuff that, if I was the White House, I’d be pretty concerned.”

Dershowitz said “sure” because in 2025, the release equals “guilt by accusation.”

He then said he talked to Epstein about Trump between 2006 and 2007, and that Epstein “never” said Trump was involved in improper conduct.

Dershowitz said he told Epstein:

Can you name people who may have had sexual relationships with anybody, and if we can turn those people over to the government, we can maybe get you a better deal. And then I went through a variety of names, including Donald Trump! And Jeffrey Epstein said ‘No, Trump didn’t do anything wrong. I can’t say anything about him that would be helpful to the government, even if the government wanted to get him.

He added the calls for the White House to release files tied to Epstein fail to consider the role judges are playing in keeping them sealed.

“It’s not the White House that’s keeping a lot of the most important material out,” Dershowitz said. “It’s judges — three federal judges in New York have sealed depositions. I want those depositions out there!”
