I am quite pissed off as well! I would rather he helps our farmers, not bring in more foreign beef. Nobody wants to ranch, including myself because they have literally caused the problem. I can't even afford to buy my own calf now, like I have in the past.

I have raised my own beef for the past 23 years. This is not an easy fix, and something is literally wrong with Trump.

This is not the same man I voted for. He is NOT this stupid, he never was.

I am ticked off today. Another politician has decided to go for the low hanging fruit and abandon those of us who supported him. It’s not shocking because just about every politician is self serving and quickly loses sight of why they got elected.

But we don’t need Argentine beef! We need incentives to keep ranching viable. Repeal the death taxes on ranches. Stop unmitigated out of control growth. Deregulation is another great step. Incentivize young farmers and ranchers to want to stay on the land and make it profitable for them to do so.

The NCBA, R-CALF and the US Cattlemen groups all are united against this brain dead idea to put a bandaid on “high beef prices” for consumers. These same consumers pay $11 for a Starbucks or $500 for a concert ticket or $75 for a hair appointment. $8-10 hamburger is a higher price than consumers like.

But what about the families who are the producers. Inflation has hurt us too! And even with historic high prices for our calves, our margins are thin because everything in our lives has went up too. From vaccines to steel posts, from fertilizer to diesel fuel, from water troughs to stock trailers- we are paying incredibly high prices compared to a few years ago.

Now for those who wanna say “I told ya Trump was bad”! Get real! Harris as president would be exponentially worse for farmers and ranchers. We have 8 years of Biden to see the outright war that was declared against us. From school lunches without meat to plant based dogfood pimped out as a meat alternative to climate change bullshit. I am still in favor of a lot of President Trumps policies. But this one is beyond rediculous!!!!

Protest Poem

Our own President may betray us,
After we supported him.
He’s going to crash the cattle market,
Our future, already grim.
What with over regulation,
The death tax and water rights.
Now he has recruited Argentina,
To also join the fight.
Says hamburger is too expensive,
For the city dwellers wife.
So he’s stomping on those of us,
That chose ranching as our life.
Only a politician,
Would say the hole is deep.
And then just keep on digging,
Stupid, useless bleeping bleep.
Make Argentina Great Again,
Was that the campaign shout?
Prop up your own ego,
While ya knock us ranchers out?
Trump had been great for ranchers,
Policies we could support.
But now we get abandoned,
By every pound that you import.
So this rhyme is my own anger,
An asinine, idiotic plan.
To hell with Argentina’s beef.
Stand for the American ranching clan.
Beef has been the champion,
Its banner we proudly wave.
Stand up with ranching families, friends,
Don’t condemn us to a grave.
I call on politicians everywhere,
To Remember why you were elected.
You represent the rest of us,
Tired of being neglected.
Producers feed consumers,
Until we become extinct.
Then all of you will starve to death,
Is that enough to make ya think?
