Interpreting Dobson - A New Perspective on Cosmology

What are the main ideas and understandings in John L. Dobson's
"Advaita Vedanta and Modern Science"

Dobson's view of our Universe in SpaceTime is that it is a Steady State Universe,
one that Has always been here, and Will always be here.

Dobson conceives of a framework containing a premise of two parameters, the Duality and the Plurality, which are sufficing the Universe to be much older than the Big Bang Theory creationist cosmology presupposes.

Briefly, the Duality is the premise that the Particles are on one side of the equation, and the Fields are on the other side. The Particles, represented by Mass and Energy, are codependent against the Fields. The Fields, represented by Space and Time, are codependent against the Particles. Neither side can exist without the other. They exist in a state of mutual codependency for their very existence. The Particles need a 'place to exist', and the Fields need a 'reason to exist'. This mutual codependency for existence is why Space and Time, and Mass and Energy, continue to exist.

Briefly, the Plurality is the premise that there is a component of Inertia in protons as well as a component of electric Energy, whereas the electron is purely electric Energy and has no Inertia component. This creates a basic incompatibility between protons and electrons, and keeps them from electrically equalizing / neutralizing. This is the underlying reason why Matter continues to exist in its particle form and does not just electrically equalize / neutralize and change into a state of radiative energy and dissipate.

Dobson (as well as Feynman) sees the electron as being purely electrical in its nature, it is pure Energy. He sees the proton as being more than just pure Energy (Infiniteness), it has a component of Inertia (Changelessness), and this Inertia component is what defines part of its rest mass, and this inertial part of its rest mass is also dependent on the proton's awareness of all the other protons in its Awareable Universe (Mach's Principle). The greater the number of protons it is aware of, the greater its rest mass becomes. The fewer protons it is aware of, the lesser its rest mass becomes. This protonic awareness directly determines the strength of Gravity in that location. Fluctuations in the rest mass of the proton will affect the strength of Gravity in that local area, as all of the local compatriot protons will likewise have the same awareness factor of the Universe, and the same inertial rest mass, resulting in a local agreement on the gravitational constant. In this way local gravity may vary to some extent over extremely large distance. As there is a limit to the proton's Awareable Universe, there is a limit to the ultimate strength local gravity can attain. Likewise, there is a lower limit to gravitational strength, as protons which are cut off from an awareness of a larger surroundings will have their inertial rest mass component diminish, and this will lower the gravitational factor in that locale. This awareness dependency of rest mass may be the primary theoretical prevention to Black Holes forming, because as the Event Horizon cuts off the proton's awareness of the rest of its Awareable Universe, the local gravity inside that event horizon will diminish significantly ! In this way if massive ultra dense objects do form they are restrained from rapid unlimited growth, and from forming a Singularity, and perhaps from initially forming altogether. Dobson supports the view that Black Holes are a non-allowable phenomena by the Laws which Physics has already discovered and describes.

Dobson's two fundamental main ideas are:

I. There are three fundamental Principals / Principles from which the Universe sprang into existence, and now operates within. These three fundamental Principals are termed, The Changeless, The Infinite, The Undivided.

II. There is a paradoxical enigma of support between two parameters which keeps the Universe from collapsing too fast, and from collapsing at all, Dobson terms these parameters, The Duality and The Plurality.

I. The Changeless, The Infinite, and The Undivided underlie our Awareable Universe and also underlie what is beyond it, for whatever lies beyond our Awareable Universe logically must be Undivided, must be Infinite, and must be Changeless.

Here we are in the Universe. We have an awareness of our self, of others, and of what surrounds us. As far as we can look outward, the Universe continues to extend to the limits of our vision. Instruments presently discern objects at what are thought to be 14 Billion light years distant (14 giga light years - 14 Gly). The farther away we look, the greater the Redshift expressed by those objects becomes. When we finally look far enough, their Redshift will reach a maximum shift and we will receive no information from any objects beyond that limit. Particles which have a maximum Redshift, to where the observer knows everything about their energy level or momentum, become unfindable by the Heisenberg Principle of "When the observer knows everything about a particle's momentum, he can then know nothing about that particle's location." They, in essence, disappear. This is the relative mechanism that defines the border of our 'Awareable Universe'. That distance, at which the information we receive from particles has declined to zero, then becomes the distance limit of our awareness. Western Science is actively seeking real data on this number, and doing a wonderful job I might add, from the Hubble Deep Field and Extreme Deep Field photos, to the several planned new telescopes. The experiments at CERN will be looking in the opposite direction, towards the smallest imaginable dimensions.

Dobson also sees the Universe as having a Recycling Mechanism. This Recycling Mechanism allows particles which are driven beyond the border of the Observer's Awareable Universe by the pressure of starlight, et al, they are now able to recycle back into the Observer's Awareable Universe by the Heisenberg Principle of "When the observer knows everything about a particle's momentum, he can then know nothing about that particle's location." In this way, a particle whose energy radiation spectrum has redshifted completely down to zero information gleanable, as it is beyond the border of that Observer's Awareable Universe; the observer then knows everything about its momentum, therefore the observer can know nothing about that particle's location, and its location becomes potentially infinite, for that Observer. By the method of quantum tunneling, particles can 'tunnel' back into the Awareable Universe for that Observer, and do so from beyond the border, and by their recycling back in, maintain the Steady State of our Awareable Universe. As a verification for this hypothesis, we have observed large clouds of intergalactic hydrogen that by Big Bang Theory (BBT) should not be existing this long after the Big Bang!

Earlier BBT estimates thought we would find 'the wall' of the primal Universe in its creation, at about 13 Gly. Instruments still under construction are expected to have the ability to see 25 Gly. Will we still see galaxies fading into the distance, even at that distance. Dobson expects we will. What will be the redshift at 25 Gly? In 100 years how far will our 'state of the art' instruments be able to see? Someday we may be able to see so far that the Redshift will have shifted all the wavelengths so much that there will be virtually no information obtainable in what we do receive from that great distance ! When we can see that far, where the Redshift of electro-magnetic spectrum information has declined to zero information retrievable, that will be the ultimate distance we can see, or the ultimate distance about which we can have any Awareness. That distance will be the border of our 'Awareable Universe', a border beyond which we can never know about anything farther away. This theoretical border of our Awareable Universe will be the distance limit of our awareness and knowledge, and the boundary of our 'Island of Awareness' in this Universe. We might be said to live within a 'bubble of subjective awareness' within the Universe at large. Will that ultimate awareable distance be 75 Gly, 150 Gly, Western Science is actively seeking this information.

What does the Universe at large, beyond the border of our Awareable Universe look like, and what must be its Essence. Logic says that whatever is beyond that border must be Undivided, it must be continuous and contiguous. How could a Universe be divided into separate and distinct portions that are not connected by anything? The only reason we have a border to our Awareable Universe is because of the relative velocities and Redshift of receding material and distant material (as some Theories strongly suggest that Redshift is also caused by distance, and not ONLY by recessional velocity alone, as Mainstream Astrophysics so adamantly demands). Our Awareable Universe's border is a subjective border. It is dependent upon Distance and Redshift. If we were in a different location, the radius of our Awareable Universe would contain a different portion of the Universe-at-large. Suppose another civilization was existing far away from us at three times the distance of our Awareable Universe's borders. They would be unaware of us, and we would be unaware of them ! We would however, still both exist, and their SpaceTime would be just like our SpaceTime. We would simply be located beyond the border of each others' Awareable Universe.

The Universe does extend beyond the border of our Awareable Universe, and its essence beyond that border must be the same as it is here. If a distant alien civilization lies beyond our Awareable Universe, we also lie beyond their Awareable Universe, and so their SpaceTime must be like our SpaceTime. The essence of the Universe beyond our border cannot change just because it is beyond our border! The border of our Awareable Universe is a Subjective Border, not an Objective Border. The Universe, in its essence, must be the same beyond our Awareable Border, anybody's Awareable Border! Simply being beyond the border of someone's Awareable Universe is not a valid reason for the essence of the Universe-at-large to change!!

In this way, whatever is beyond the border of our Awareable Universe, must be, Undivided, Infinite and Changeless. Undivided in that the Universe is contiguous and continuous and not a subpart of something else. Infinite in that it must go on forever in distance and in time, as it is undivided, there cannot be anything beyond it, therefore it must be Infinite in its extension. Changeless, in that it has always been here, and will always be here; as it is Infinite and Undivided, it must also be Changeless in its overall at-large essence, because how can something Infinite be changed by something else that is outside of it?

These Three Primary Qualities of the fundamental essence of the Universe, that of Undividedness, Infiniteness and Changelessness, are what lie beyond the border of our Awareable portion of the Universe. As we are likewise beyond someone else's border of their Awareable Universe, we could logically be said to reside within the Undivided, the Infinite and the Changeless ourselves, just as those distant folks also reside in the Changeless, the Infinite, and the Undivided!

So, how do we like living in this Universe of Undividedness, Infiniteness and Changelessness, though we seem to see it as Divided, Finite and Changing. We see galaxies billions of light years away, and we interpret that to mean that things are Divided by a great distance. We see an atom as being small, yet Finite in its size; as it is not infinitely small, it does have a size. We see planets orbiting stars, and moving through SpaceTime, and we call that Change. Could we simply be making a mistake to see things as Divided, Finite and Changing, when we now understand that we ourselves must live within the three fundamental primary aspects of the Universe; which are Undivided, Infinite and Changeless. If we are making a mistake in how we see things, what is our mistake? It might be a mistake to see the spaced-apartness of the galaxies, the solar system's planets, the components inside the atom, and even the Universe at-large, as a separation; because Gravity, as the expression of the Primary Principle of Undividedness in the large-scale of the Universe's construction, is constantly trying to pull everything together into one place, and in an unrelenting fashion. Undividedness also expresses itself as the continual attraction between oppositely charged electrical and magnetic particles, in the small-scale. It might be a mistake to see things as Finite, when electrons and protons live virtually forever, and Energy can "neither be created nor destroyed". Energy really is The Infinite, and Matter, as Einstein and particle accelerators have shown us, is just potential energy in its final analysis. Rather, one might view this material world of atoms as being Infinite, and the expression which Energy, The Infinite, can assume in its form of the "Special State of Matter". There are all the wavelengths of the electro-magnetic spectrum which are radiating all over the Universe, and they are also Energy, but in its "Radiative" form and not the special form of atomic matter. It might be a mistake to see things as Changing, because a planet is made of atoms and they contain the principle of Inertia and Momentum within themselves, the principle of 'remaining in motion' until acted upon by a force, or of 'remaining stationary' until acted upon by a force, both of which are resistance to Change, or Changelessness. The fact of a planet containing Inertia and Momentum within its atoms will last with it until it no longer exists as a material body made of atoms, and this is its essence of Changelessness. A planet is made of atoms which are also Energy, and that is its Infiniteness. A planet is held together by Gravity and electric forces, and that is its Undividedness. And this is how we are said to live within The Changeless, The Infinite, and The Undivided.

I. These three main principals, The Changeless, The Infinite, and The Undivided, show thru into our Awareable Universe and into our Reality and manifest themselves in the following ways that Physics describes them:

1.) The Changeless - manifests as Inertia / Momentum.

2.) The Infinite - manifests as Energy : in its Four States of Manifestation :

1. the Radiative State - the Electro-Magnetic spectrum -

all things that travel at the speed of light.

2. the Special State of Matter - electrons, protons, neutrons -

and the myriad of other 'particles' that Physics deems as matter.

3. the Electrical State - that of electric energy, and how it uses electrons and ions

for its mode of habitation and transmission.

4. the Field State - the electric field, the magnetic field, and the gravitational field.

3.) The Undivided - manifests as Gravity, and as the attraction between opposite electrical charges;

with its consequential inverse, the repulsion of like-charges.

Because these three main background operating Principals, and their manifestation into foreground operating Principles visible to Physics, often interact in very complex ways, it can initially be very difficult to think about them separately, due to the complexity of the ways they intertwine. For example, Inertia is involved in the proton as well as Energy, but only Energy is involved in the electron. Being as electrons and protons are included in atoms and molecules, there is a complex intertwining of Inertia and Energy within Matter, and Inertia's presence may well be what is keeping Matter from electrically equalizing / neutralizing and dissipating into EM Spectrum radiation. Inertia's presence in the proton might be why it has a positive electric charge, and its absence in the electron might be why electrons are negatively charged.

II. The second aspect of Dobson's main understanding is; The Duality and The Plurality.

1). The Duality is the Particles versus the Fields: the Particles are represented by Mass and Energy, and the Fields are represented by Space and Time. The Particles are 'wound-up' against the Fields, and the Fields are 'wound-up' against the Particles, and neither side can exist without the other. If there were no Fields, the Particles would have no 'place' to exist; and if there were no Particles, the Fields would have no 'purpose' to exist; the fields would have nothing contained within themselves, they would be empty and have nothing to influence, and therefore no reason to exist. In this way the 'smallest' keeps the 'biggest' alive, and the 'biggest' keeps the 'smallest' alive. And here, we now draw the MEST Diagram.

In the Duality: Mass, Energy, Space, Time : M / S *

Particles / Fields E / T

M - The Changeless (Inertia / Momentum), appears on the Particle side of the equation as Mass.

E - The Infinite (Energy), appears on the Particle side of the equation as Energy.

S - The Undivided (Gravity and the attraction between opposite electrical charges) appears on the Field side of the equation as Space.

T - The Changeless via Inertia / Momentum's implied consequential subcomponent, that of Time, appears on the Field side of the equation as Time. In Momentum math calculations, the term for Time is the 'crucial' element in those equations, thusly this is why Time is given this 'location' in the MEST diagram by Dobson.

* Then Dobson would say, "And your homework for next Sunday night is – What is it that lies behind the MEST Diagram, and shows thru into this Universe as the MEST Diagram ?" To draw the MEST Diagram – take a page of paper and divide it into quadrants, put the letters MEST, one each into each quadrant (like above), then erase the lines as the logic explains itself thru argument: Mass and Energy are equivalents within particles, and Space and Time are united fields, this erases the horizontal line between M-E and S-T, via Einstein. Then, the Particles of M-E are codependent against the Fields of S-T, and the Fields of S-T are codependent against the Particles of M-E, and neither side can exist without the other, so we now can erase the vertical line as well. Then we ask, "What lies behind the MEST diagram, now that the lines of demarcation are erased and the components of MEST are seen as really being all just 'one entity'. Therefore; we can in essence now erase the letters MEST as well." "So, what is it ! , that is behind the MEST Diagram and shows thru into this Universe, and into this Reality, and we see it as manifesting as the MEST diagram? "

Answer: It is the Changeless, the Infinite, and the Undivided!!! That is what lies behind the MEST diagram and Manifests itself into our Universe and our Reality AS the MEST diagram !

2). The Plurality is a much more complex idea. The Plurality manifests in three intertwining aspects:

1.) The Pauli Exclusion Principle.

2.) The proton (and neutron) having an Inertia component as well as an Energy component.

3.) Gravity only pulling on particles which have an Inertia component, and not pulling on

particles which do not have an Inertia component.

( Although Dobson does not directly say; Gravity only pulls on particles which have an Inertia component, and does NOT pull on particles which do not have an Inertia component. The implication is there. The concept that Gravity can pull on light is erroneous, like at a Black Hole's event horizon, or at the limb of a star. Gravity does NOT affect the Radiative State of Energy, only Electric Fields and / or Magnetic Fields affect the Radiative State of Energy. [ see: [1] )

The Plurality is how the Particles (Mass and Energy) are prevented from electrically collapsing into a charge equalization / charge neutralization annihilation. Electrons and Protons are designed and constructed so as to be incompatible in a way that prevents them from electrically combining and disappearing in a burst of mutual radiation. Without this incompatibility Matter would not exist, and without Matter, the Fields would be unnecessary and likewise not exist. In this way the Plurality keeps the Duality from 'collapsing'. The way the Plurality keeps itself from collapsing is as follows:

The Pauli Exclusion Principle, for those who are less familiar with it, states: "Two identical fermions are not allowed to occupy a small SpaceTime unit of volume with an identical state of spin". A fermion is defined as a particle with a half-integer of spin, or a half-unit of spin. An electron is a fermion. Thusly two identical electrons are not allowed to occupy the innermost electron shell in an atom. You can have one spin-up electron and one spin-down electron in the innermost electron shell, as they are not identical fermions. Three electrons are not allowed to occupy the innermost electron shell as two of them would have to be identical. Because of this Principle description, electrons must pile up in farther-out 'shells' around the atom's nucleus. The farther out shells may have more than two electrons, 4,8,16, for reasons that I am not well enough knowledgeable of at this time to explain, but each succeeding shell does reach a limit, and any additional electrons can only inhabit the next level-out 'shell'. This Principle is very fundamental and instrumental in why Matter is very electrically active among its various different kinds of atoms, and in Matter's ability to form molecular compounds by the interaction of swapping the outer electron shell's electrons in molecular "electrical bonding".

Protons are termed bosons, and have a full-integer or full-unit of spin, and they can occupy a small discrete SpaceTime unit of volume. Because of this, protons can be packed extremely close together compared to electrons. Electrons have an enormously large occupational space, but it is a space where you cannot know exactly where they are, it is termed a 'cloud of potentiality in existence'. In addition protons have a mass of 1836 times greater than electrons, and the Inertia component in protons may well be responsible for this enormous mass difference, as well as its full-integer of spin. Although spin may be better described as' magnetic moment'. Gravity does not have any attraction abilities on electrons, and the Inertia component in protons is likely the reason why Gravity pulls on protons (and neutrons). Protons having an Inertia component may well be why they are required to have a discrete location in SpaceTime, and not a 'cloud of potentiality' for their existence as electrons must have. Because of this discrete location requirement, protons are allowed a much closer proximity than electrons, and thusly the atom's nucleus can be many orders of magnitude smaller than the electron's 'cloud of potentiality in existence'. This discrete location factor allowment for protons and neutrons may be why the nucleus is allowed to have so many protons and neutrons in such a close propinquity, while the electrons must space themselves apart in vast volumetric shells of SpaceTime in comparison to the small SpaceTime unit of volume that the nucleus occupies.

( As a side note: when a neutron that is not in an atomic nucleus anymore, and is now 'on its own' in a large volume of space, it will spontaneously 'revert' back into a proton and an electron !, after about 14 minutes in 'solitude' !! and when it does this it 'requires' 10^15 power more spacial volume !!! than when it was a neutron ! That's Ten to the 15th power, more volume !!! )

3). The Paradoxical Enigma of The Duality and The Plurality, might be stated thusly:

The Plurality keeps the Duality from collapsing, on the small scale, from the electrical attraction of opposite electrical charges; in that the Plurality has the protons containing Inertia while the electrons do not contain Inertia, and this basic incompatibility keeps them from immediately electrically equalizing / neutralizing, and holds the atom electrically apart. The atom's components remain separated, but they remain charge-attracted. The Pauli Exclusion Principle descriptively prohibits three electrons from inhabiting certain volumes of SpaceTime due to there being only two-states of spin in electrons, this adds further resistive pressure to support the atom against collapse and becomes very important under extreme gravitational environments. The Plurality is the reason why, on the small scale, we have Matter continuing to exist; and Matter, the Particles, thusly continuing to exist gives Space and Time, the Fields, a 'reason to exist'. If Matter collapsed into a charge equalization the Fields would be unnecessary. In this way the continuing existence of Particles keeps the Fields from collapsing !

The Duality keeps The Plurality from collapsing by Gravity, in its having the SpaceTime Field be so vast that it would take Gravity virtually forever to pull everything together into one place and at one time. In this way the Duality supports the Universe against collapsing on the large scale, because ultimately Gravity might overpower the electron repulsion if everything was all in the same place and all at the same time, and that just might collapse everything into a single point of nothingness ! This gives the Particles, Mass and Energy, a continuing 'place to exist'.

This mutual codependent collaborative dynamic between the Plurality and the Duality against the Universe collapsing in the small scale, and against collapsing on the large scale, gives the Universe all the Small Space and Big Time it needs to exist for its lifetime, which is virtually forever. This paradoxical enigma is why we have the continued existence of Matter, the Particles; and why the Universe at large, the Fields, continues to exist on the large scale and not collapse by Gravity. The Universe continues in its existence as a 'Steady State', and it is infinite in size, and it is infinite in its time of duration.

So; The Plurality keeps The Duality from collapsing, and The Duality keeps The Plurality from collapsing, and that's the paradox and the enigma ! How could the Universe have been constructed, or come into existence, with this immensely complex design ? These are also the reasons why we have atoms to begin with, and a Universe at all !! In addition; the ways in which The Changeless, The Infinite, and The Undivided are complexly intertwined creates The Plurality and The Duality to begin with, and this is an amazingly clever way for the Universe to construct itself in order to give to itself all the Space and all the Time it needs for its existence, and for Energy to create all the protons and electrons it needs to become aware of itself, to observe itself, and to be its own conscious self, that is of course if the Universe had any input upon its own construction !!

Dobson told us in February 2002 at the Hollywood Vedanta Temple in his annual series of Science Talks that Winter, in the Green Room because the Temple was busy that Monday night, that in the Spring of 2001 he had the sudden vision of how The Duality and The Plurality interact in the ways that they do, and he said, ". . and I'd never seen things this way before" !!

Dobson explains how Einstein's work brought us to the understanding that Space and Time are a pair of opposites, and how Mass and Energy are a pair of opposites, and Dobson goes on to explain how Gravity and Electricity / Magnetism are a pair of opposites. But in order for two things to be a pair of opposites, they both have to be identical in some way. Einstein showed us how Space and Time are identical because they are both Fields and they combined to form the SpaceTime Field Continuum, and how Mass and Energy are identical and equivalent, and which the atomic bomb and particle accelerators have proved.

Space and Time are both Fields, but when we look forward in Space we look backward in Time, and this is opposite, and we do so at the Ratio of Space to Time, which is the Speed of Light. One light year away in distance is one year back in time for what you observe at that distance. Space contains the potential energy which the force of Gravity exhibits over distance. (To 'wind-up' against gravity, get a lot of distance). Time contains the potential energy which Momentum exhibits in its motion and Inertia exhibits in its resistance to motion; as Dobson says "The Time component in the Momentum equation, IS the Energy." (To 'wind-up' against Momentum, get there in a shorter time) Space and Time could both be viewed as being the basis for the potential kinetic energy of a particle, based on that particle's gravitational separation and / or relative velocity or lack of velocity, in the SpaceTime Continuum.

Mass (or rather Inertia) and Energy (or rather electric charge potential or energy density), are both just a potential energy factor which a particle may contain or express. The inertial rest mass energy is based on that particle's awareness factor of the field's total Inertia containing components. (Mach's Principle) Energy is the electric charge potential of a particle, or that particle's compactness of like-charge, which is based on that particle's awareness factor of the field's charge size. Mass and Energy are opposites in that mass is the spaced-apartness in the Gravity field, and Energy is the spaced-togetherness of a like-charge in the electric field. Mass, or rather Inertia and Momentum, are really just the potential energy quality of a particle, based on its relative field location or relative field velocity. Energy, or electric charge potential, is a potential energy based on that like-charge's compaction of like-charge within the electric field. The smallness of electrons and protons is their compactness of like-charge. (For if an electron's size was expanded to the size of its Awareable Universe, its charge would go to zero, and Richard P. Feynman also agrees.)

We can think about Gravity and Electricity / Magnetism as being both fields and forces, but Gravity gains its potential energy by having things farther apart. The farther apart objects are, the greater their potential gravitational kinetic energy would be when they finally do collide together from gravitational acceleration. Electricity, or the electric charge, gains its potential energy by being closer together, in that a like-charge will repel a like-charge, and the closer those like-charges are the greater their repulsion and subsequent energy density, also, opposite electric charges gain energy from being closer together. Magnetism, or the magnetic force, also gains energy by being closer together, as like magnetic polarities gain repulsive force when moved closer together, and opposite polarities gain energy by being closer together. This is opposite to Gravity. Both gravity and magnetic fields, gain and lose strength by the square of the distance apart, the geometric scale, so in this respect they are identical. But the electric field gains and loses force by the absolute distance apart, the arithmetic scale, not the geometric scale, so this is different. Thus, in the potential energy aspect of a particle in these fields, Gravity gains by distance, and the Electric / Magnetic gains by closeness, which are opposite. Gravity and the Electric / Magnetic attraction / repulsion force are both a potential energy quality, which a particle will express based on that particle's location within the field, or that particle's compactness-of-charge within the field, so in this view they are identical. The potential energy of a particle in four dimensional SpaceTime can be expressed by its distance apart from everything else, and also by the compactness of its electric / magnetic charge compared to the size of its Awareable Universe field. Or as Mr. Dobson describes it "spaced-out in the gravity field, and spaced-in in the electric / magnetic field." Both descriptions successfully account for the measured rest mass energy, or electric / magnetic potential energy, of a particle, in the gravity field or in the electric / magnetic field. In the above ways, gravity and the electric / magnetic forces are identical, and yet opposite as well, and it might also be said that they are both just the potential energy as expressed and contained within a particle, based upon that particle's location or compaction-of-charge in their respective field. An electron and a proton can be considered a compaction of like-charge brought down from the vast size of their Awareable Universe and compacted into the size of an electron or a proton.

So, in a preparatory analysis; Time, Mass, Inertia, Momentum, Gravity, Electricity, Magnetism; they are all just a potential energy equivalent when mathematically reduced to their most basic level of perception. They are all just Energy ! Energy in its Radiative State, Energy in its Special State of Matter, Energy in its Electrical State, Energy in its Field State.

Thusly: Gravity, Electricity, Magnetism, Mass, Inertia, Momentum, Time; they can all be expressed as just a potential Energy equivalent for a particle of Matter. Therefore: in the Final Analysis; Energy - The Infinite (in its Special State of Matter et al), is the only inhabitant of this Universe, of this Reality, of this SpaceTime Continuum, of this Undivided, Infinite, Changelessness, Universe !!!

It's all Energy !!!

Actually, the above Dobsonian description is a very old Cosmology, it is only new to 'the West'. Hindus began working on this about 5,000 years ago, and about 1000 years ago finalized it into this 'story'. Dobson added "The Duality & The Plurality" in about June 2001, and to the great amazement and awe of the Hindus I might add !
