As far as The Exorcist, other than the obvious two changes -- one necessary, the other not -- the last 1 1/4 hours of the second film -- The Exorcist, The Version You've Never Seen -- is pretty much identical to what actually happened. This version is the one Blatty wanted out, with the missing 12 minutes and a different ending.

Google The Haunted Boy (unnecessary change), and one of the Jesuit priests (an Exorcist) being carted off to a mental hospital for a year or so (necessary).

The majority of the scenes, including the classic when Regan slowly turns head 360 degrees, are fairly accurate. Unless one knows what they are doing, I strongly advise avoiding ouija boards.

Bear in mind that this outer, lowest and smallest physical level, the Astral level (which is billions of times larger than this one) and the Causal Plane (which is billions upon billions of times larger than the Astral) are the levels of negative reality.

Most emotions stem from the Astral level, so most are negative.
