Ice stood down without protest at being commanded to ignore its oath to defend this republic. It can therefore be assumed by any reasonable person that ice would arrest legitimate Americans or even shoot them on sight if commanded to do so.

All the while scores and scores of millions of belligerent foreign nationals flooded across the borders along with an unknowable number of cartel. That makes the total number of cartel the actual number plus scores of millions who WILL obey cartel orders.

Ice might have thought it was engineering a life time of paychecks and benefits, but it was ensuring its eventual annihilation. Fifty million person cartel ghost able to hide in plain sight is not an imaginary number. All of American ?law enforcement? and military is just a snack for the ghost. It will be eaten. That is a very safe bet on current course.

If the cartel kills the small top tier of law enforcement management across the land early one morning the rest will go to work for cartel or have fifty million civil cartel chasing those ten thousand dollar bounties on their heads, alive or dead. It is safe to assume that personal records have already been or can easily be hacked. It would be easier to hide from the air.

The military has been recruiting philosophical aliens for ages. Think about that.

With all of the obvious now stated, what can be done to protect ice? The absolute best way would be to deport ice, with scant few exceptions, to some distant land where the cartels won't find it cost effective to satisfy its pleasure against them. Of course, ice would have to stay away for enough generations to be sure that cartels would not be annoyed by their existence. Officer safety.

Organized crime is financed and laundered by sundry... institutions and individuals. You put that on Ellis Island and mine the air and sea around it. Problem solved. Organized crime goes back across the border where it can be happy. The civilian cartel evaporates. Law enforcement and military get to live. It's all good.

Bozo blundering headlong into face to face combat with ego brandished is just goddamned stupid. On the other hand, Bozo will because he is well-trained to obey and not bite the hand of the... sundry that gave him everything that he has and is. That training appears to be rock solid. Catch 22 in all of its glory.

Just a quick note. Every elected, appointed and hired public servant knows that this ghost in plain sight exists. They know that they exist in plain sight of the ghost. They created this ghost.
