Is it the KKK recruiting new members on the street corner? Is it conservatives alarmed by the progressive’s latest power grab? You have a right to hate anyone you want, including their speech. That is pure tyranny when the government wants to infringe on your 1st amendment right of free speech. The problem is, this is something that is subjective. I see it in the comments after an article or video online. Some people hate it and go after the person and others love it, think it was just wonderful. You certainly aren’t going to please everyone. I learned that as a union steward for 27 years. Often, it was someone incensed because the foreman said something they didn’t like, as in, “Get back to your workstation. You’ve been punched in for fifteen minutes.” What was I supposed to say? He was doing his job. If it wasn’t a contract violation or a safety or OSHA violation, there wasn’t a lot I could do.
Anyway, it was up to the person how they interpreted the comment. I’m sure that most people would be appalled at a KKK rally. But others would think it was a fine speech.

I suspect that the Founding Fathers knew what a nightmare morass it would be to try to determine what to include and what to leave out as far as speech. So, the simple and sane thing to do was to say that: “Congress shall make no law...abridging the freedom of speech.” How dare Pam Bondi or Kristi Noam attempt to water down our rights because they don’t like what other people are saying on any subject. Power Hungry Much?

Just because someone is a Republican, doesn’t mean they are intelligent, moral or articulate in speech. Best example would be the village idiot from Texas. But, enough people apparently liked what he had to say to put him in the Oval Office twice! If I would have squashed anyone’s freedom of speech, it would have been Baby Bush. Eight years of listening to this drunken buffoon butcher the English language, was enough to grind my teeth down to nubbins!

I believe that Larry Flint was the first case on his rights to free speech, heard by the Supreme Court. No doubt, there were any number of people who didn’t like his disgusting porn. He wasn’t exactly a choir boy. But, you don’t write laws to hamstring everyone who’s speech or publications you don’t like. As our first president said: “If the freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led like sheep to the slaughter.” George Washington.

The experiment in this kind of government with personal freedom, took a lot of debate to arrive at the first of our amendments. In some way the most important of them. The Deep State has come up with ways to try to water it down. However, our basic rights must be fought for and preserved for ourselves and the generations to follow us.

Power hungry politicians will come and go. Supreme Court Justices will be replaced. But, all need to understand that the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights, is the law of the land. The Declaration of Independence is the cure for tyranny.

I would highly recommend a refresher course in constitutional law for these politicians, most of whom are lawyers last I checked.

“Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule making or legislation which would abrogate them .” Miranda vs. Arizona 384 US 436 p. 491.

"An unconstitutional act is not law; it confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protections; it creates no office; it is in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed.” US 425 p. 442

The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law; but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose; since unconstitutionally dates from the time of it’s enactment, and not merely from the date of the decisions so branding it.

“No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.” 16 Am 2d, Sec 177 late 2d, Sec 256.

We either stand together and fight these Elite or sink together.
