The Remnant Response: Faith and Fire After Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

Do you feel it, beloved? I feel it too. A heaviness in the air, a shock that rattles the soul. The assassination of Charlie Kirk is a fresh wound we all carry—one that has not yet begun to heal. We are still reeling, staggered by the blow. The body of Christ took a bullet that day, and the pain reverberates through us, spirit to spirit. Even though many of us did not know Charlie personally, we are one family—joined by the Spirit of God. “For in one Spirit we were all immersed into one body” (1 Corinthians 12:13, Translated from source scripture – Greek). When that bullet tore through his body, we felt the shockwave in the Spirit.
We grieve. We mourn for his beautiful family—for his wife and children, for his parents, his friends, his flock. “If one member suffers, all the members suffer together” (1 Corinthians 12:26, Translated from source scripture – Greek). Evil was put on display, but grace abounds all the more.
And yet—let this truth settle in your hearts: Charlie is safe now, held in the arms of our Father. “To be away from the body is to be at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8, Greek). We will see him again. Charlie is now in our future, no longer in our past… for this world is not our home. “For here we do not have a lasting city, but we seek the one that is to come” (Hebrews 13:14, Greek). We were born behind enemy lines, sent here on assignment from Heaven. The mission has not changed: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19, Greek). Rescue as many as possible from the grip of darkness and eternal damnation.
And in the meantime, let us do what the Word commands: “Pure and undefiled worship before God the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world” (James 1:27, Greek). Charlie set an example. Let us complete the mission.
Yahshua loves us—so much that He laid down His life for us. “Greater love than this no one has, that someone should lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13, Greek). The wheat and the tares are being separated before our very eyes (Matthew 13:30, Greek). Take courage.
And as we remember, let us not forget the cost. I am reminded of Stephen, who, while being stoned, looked up and saw Yahshua standing at the right hand of God (Acts 7:55–56, Greek). With his last breath, he prayed, “Master, do not place this sin against them” (Acts 7:60, Greek). And our Savior on the cross prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34, Greek).
We are in a fallen world—surrounded by hateful beings, deception, control, and evil on every side. Babylon still works its dark agenda, but over it all reigns “the Ancient of Days” (Daniel 7:9–10, Aramaic from Masoretic Text). Who can stand before Him? Only those washed by the Blood of The Lamb.
We are apprentices here on earth—kings and queens in training, preparing to rule and reign with Christ. “The one who conquers, I will give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also conquered and sat with My Father on His throne” (Revelation 3:21, Greek). But let us be clear: we were born behind enemy lines. We were not sent here to build our own kingdoms or to gather treasures that moth and rust destroy. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal, but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:19–20, Greek).
We are here on assignment—to proclaim the Kingdom of our Lord. “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10, Greek). This world is not our home; “For our citizenship exists in heaven, from which also we eagerly await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 3:20, Greek). This life is a king-making apprenticeship. And we have this prophetic assurance: “And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; His kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him” (Daniel 7:27, Aramaic MT).
And in order to be successful in this assignment, we must cling to the Father and stay connected in the Spirit at all times. Yes, we are to hate evil, but we must also pray for the lost. That is hard, especially when the wound is still fresh, when we are still reeling from a bullet. I understand that. So let us hate this evil and the evil that sent the bullet, but let us also live in His mercy, which is new every morning. “The steadfast love of YHWH never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22–23, Hebrew).
And as Yahshua taught us to pray: “Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors” (Matthew 6:12, Greek). Do not misunderstand me. I am not telling you to embrace the enemy. I am telling you to hate this evil with every fiber of your being. Stand against it. Rebuke the devil. Bind him on earth, for “whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19, Greek).
The enemy is defeated. Remember, Jesus has already taken the authority back from him. “Having stripped the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:15, Greek). And He said: “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall harm you” (Luke 10:19, Greek). You have that authority in Christ—but in Christ alone. On your own, you will perish. The adversary is far more ancient and far more intelligent than you can even imagine. Your only hope is to cling to the Ancient of Days and to His Spirit who guides you. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil” (Ephesians 6:10–11, Greek). “Be sober-minded, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in the faith, knowing that the same kinds of sufferings are being experienced by your brothers throughout the world” (1 Peter 5:8–9, Greek).
I know you have many questions. Why did Charlie get shot in front of us? Wasn’t he protected? Why didn’t God stop it? There are many questions. But we do not yet understand everything on this side of eternity. One day we will, for “now we see through a mirror in obscurity, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will fully know, just as I also have been fully known” (1 Corinthians 13:12, Greek). For our struggle is not human, it is spiritual. “The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for tearing down strongholds. We demolish arguments and every proud obstacle raised against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:4–5, Greek).
Because in this body, we cannot yet understand everything. But the time will come when we will. For now, hold fast to Yashua, stay plugged into the body of Christ, and pray. “Therefore let us approach with boldness the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace for timely help” (Hebrews 4:16, Greek).

Quantum Prayer
Father God, You said that before You would come as a Just Judge, You would come as a Merciful Savior. We know that we are living in the time of mercy and that this time is almost up. Already the Church and creation groan. We are split apart by war, genocide, holocaust, and the slaughter of innocents. Already more martyrs have shed their blood than any century has ever seen.
Wicked wolves in sheep’s clothing have invaded our Churches and governments’ hierarchy. Your Churches have been desecrated in the upheaval, tabernacles shut out of the sanctuary, statues and railings dismantled and torn away, Your Name made a mockery by almost every leader in the world. False doctrines and religions have taken over, like in the days of Noah. The earth complains with famines, severe weather, floods, fires, earthquakes, mudslides, and pollution.
But You know all these things. Your Heart aches for the souls You died on the cross to save, souls which fall into hell in horrifying numbers. The remnants of Your people pray to You now: Your Kingdom came and is alive today in our bodies made alive by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:10, Greek).
You said in John 15:19: “If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own and would treat you with affection. But you are not of the world [you no longer belong to it], but I have chosen you out of the world. And because of this the world hates you” (John 15:19, Greek).
Today we humble ourselves with one mind and one spirit in Your presence, washed in the blood of Jesus, and we pray for every human soul on planet earth, even the ones who hate us. We pray that You will open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Reveal Yourself to each and every one and make it obvious for them to understand. We call every lost soul into the Kingdom of God in the Name of Jesus—the Name above every other name. May they repent and turn from their ways, that You may come soon and heal our land.
Come, Lord Jesus, COME SOON and bring about the new Heavens and the new earth. We pray for supernatural wisdom, healing, and deliverance in one mind and one spirit, in Jesus’s Name.
May we withstand the tribulation, the anti-Christ, the days of darkness, the Light of Your coming. We pray for Your mercy upon us, upon our families, upon our loved ones. Our confidence in this mercy overshadows our fear of suffering. We hold fast to Your promise that You will save us.
Rain down Your revival—let every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
Break every bondage that stops the Spirit of God from moving in for the battle of the ages. Prepare the way, give us the words of truth to speak in every situation. We put on the armor of God. Assign the angels to this wonderful victory.
Come, Lord Jesus, COME! We await with joyful anticipation the time when You shall wipe away every tear, for the reunion of our souls and bodies, for the full communion with saints and angels and our deceased loved ones. Most of all, we shall see You as You really are, in all Your splendor and glory. Prepare us for this precipitous moment, O Lord, when we will be drowned in Your Beauty and Wonder for all eternity. In one mind and one Spirit we declare—let it be so. Amen and Amen. Glory to the Lamb of God.
Take courage, for our King is coming. He Himself said, “In the world you have tribulation; but take courage, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33, Greek). And we answer with the Word: “Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20, Greek). For in Him all the promises of God are Yes and Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20, Greek).
