Why is it that some lunatics on the left think it is okay to make vile remarks about our president, display a bloodied fake head that looked like Trump, publicly wish for his assassination, but conservatives have no right to assemble, to express their views and opinions? Especially if we don’t agree with them? Clue: We will likely never agree with you about any number of things. One major difference between the right and left is, we believe you should have the right to speak your hateful beliefs. Our first amendment guarantees it. What you don’t have a right to do is kill those who speak their truth if you don’t agree with it. What kind of a low IQ person would ever think it is okay to kill someone because they don’t like their beliefs? I didn’t agree with Charlie on a variety of issues, mainly having to do with Israel and their treatment of the Palestinians. But, Charlie was young, and very smart. It sounded like he was beginning to question some of his former beliefs. Was it Israel who feared they were loosing his support? Was that a Mossad agent who shot him, raced to the airport and boarded a plane which quickly turned it’s transponder off? It wouldn’t surprise me. Charlie was having a huge effect on the youth of this nation.
No doubt the killer of Charlie Kirk, who strangely got away in a crowd with Charlie’s security present, was being back-slapped and hi-fived by the other sewer rats he associates with as soon as he returned to the sewer. This is the same mentality as the scum who assassinated President Kennedy, his brother, Bobby, MLK, and even Medgar Evers. There’s a name probably few remember. How about Malcolm X? Murdered by his own Muslim Brotherhood. Why? Because he was beginning to question what they stood for. Can’t have that. It seems like anyone with the courage to raise their head above the crowd, question behavior, whether of our government or organizations they disagree with, has put the sights of these vile cowards on them? What is the point? I believe one point of their agenda is to intimidate those of us who oppose their behavior, their WOKE philosophy. And, to a point, that will have an effect. No doubt people like Tucker Carlson, Benny Hill and others with a following of like-minded people will be beefing up their own security.
As Mahatma Gandhi said, “Many people, especially ignorant people, want to punish you for speaking the truth, being correct, for being you.” He was another victim of an assassin because he spoke out. People were swayed by his words and followed him. As with Charlie Kirk, you can kill a man, but you can’t kill his message. Those who flocked to hear Charlie speak, his 5 million followers online,will not rush to go after the sewer rats who took his life, left behind a wife, son and daughter, who will always mourn his passing. But, the things he believed, the things he shared with those gathered to hear him speak, will always have his legacy to build on. That is mostly the youth of this country, hungry for Charlies message of hope, peace, and love for our fellow man.
Our Constitution was never intended to embody one political point of view. It was made for people of fundamentally different views. Unfortunately, that view only seems to be held by conservatives. Those on the left appear to hate what our Constitution stands for and so anyone who promotes it are fair game for, at the very least, a verbal attack. Doxing would be next. If none of that works, then assassinations could be next.
As one who grew up during the turbulent sixties, I hope we aren’t returning to that crazy time.
Medgar Evers would be the first victim of the prejudice of that era. The beginning of the spate of assassinations that stunned and divided the nation. I can’t imagine a more dangerous place to fight for civil rights than Mississippi. But fight he did. He served in the Army during WWII. His race made him a target for White Supremacist, even in the military. Evers survived two attempts on his life just days before his murder. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. Although I hear someone is trying to scrub his name from the registry there. Prejudice never ends it seems.
So much has been written about JFK’s assassination, there is little I could add, except to say, as a hunter and trap shooter, I was familiar enough to call ‘foul’ on the Warren Commission’s version of events. There is no doubt in my mind that CIA puke James Jesus Angleton was the driving force, along with Bush Sr. to take Kennedy out. It seems like career politicians and various agency heads didn’t like him or what he stood for. They thought he was a loose cannon.
Martin Luther King would be next. April, 1968. My husband and I were just leaving the outskirts of Memphis, coming home from a vacation, when our radio program was interrupted with the news of his assassination. I remember saying, “I wonder which one of the three letter agencies took him out?” I never believed it was a loan gunman. And I would encourage the three letter agencies to come up with a more creative plan. This one is getting old. King had too big of a following. His courage was contagious. He gave hope to a part of our citizens who had been beaten down for so long, it would
take someone like King to give them hope that their lives could ever be any different.
Then, not long afterwards, Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed while campaigning for the presidency. He would have won too. While different from JFK, there was still that Kennedy magic in his speeches. Again the lone gunman BS. Again, the facts didn’t add up. He was shot from behind while Sirhan Sirhan was across the room in front of him. Who was directly behind him, Secret Service? Private
security? Once again a relatively young man who spoke articulately, and passionately to, especially young people. Kind of like Charlie.
I left Malcolm X for last. Not because he died last, it was February of 65. But, because the circumstances were so different. As far as I could tell, he was assassinated by members of his own
Nation of Islam. However in all cases, they were beginning to question their beliefs. And that is dangerous with fanatics. In every case, these were young men, speaking their truth to people hungry for the sanity of common sense, fair play and compassion for all.
In every case, there were those who feared their influence on the young who were ready to riot and take their country back. And, if anyone doubts that is what the Founding Fathers meant for our country, read the Declaration of Independence.
