So some genius at Caltech has "discovered" new ropes of plasma in the Cosmos, eh? Well they're called Birkeland Currents and (some) scientists have known about the phenomena for decades if not almost 100 years. The reason this is main stream news is because some mainstream scientists are to the point where they simply have to admit to the role magnetism and electrical currents play in the ordering of the universe because their actual observations are starting to conflict with their preconceived notions and theories that gravity is what rules in the cosmos. "Dark matter" and "dark energy" are two examples of them making stuff up out of whole cloth to make their theories work in relation to what they're actually observing and it's all bullshit. The Universe is electric . . . .
