My comment:
Both the US and the Russians have "unannounced" advanced weapons. This is nothing new. One of the weapons the Russians have is a tsunami bomb that can destroy any ocean coast line with a tidal wave hundreds of feet high. All the coast lines of Europe and the entire British island could be destroyed by a tidal wave created by a nuclear blast. Any and all US coast lines could be targeted by a nuclear created wave. However, if Russia actually did that, it would cause their own destruction by a US retaliation. In other words, it would not be used as a deterrent, but as a last ditch effort to destroy their enemies AFTER the Russians have been hit with a preemptive nuclear attack.

In addition to that risk, there are prevalent rumors of active military members warning their families and friends in a cryptic way, to stay away form the coast lines. I have heard this rumor for many years, but the development of the tidal wave bomb by the Russians and also the possibility of am incoming asteroid or comet that would cause a pole shift, would possibly hit the coastlines with global tsunamis. There is no way to verify any reality of that threat. However, being prepared with extra food, supplies and water is always the best policy. GE
