Moscow Confirms Historic Putin-Trump Meeting As BRICS Firestorm Nears

A forewarning new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Donald Trump told European leaders yesterday that he intends to meet with President Putin in person and later hold a trilateral meeting with Putin and unelected Ukrainian Dictator Vladimir Zelensky, says top Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov then announced this morning that Moscow agreed to the historic summit, which will take place next week, and added: “I’d like to note that the venue, too, has been agreed in principle and will be announced a bit later”.

Following the meeting President Putin held with President Trump’s special envoy Steve Witcoff yesterday, this report notes, Secretary of State Marco Rubio assessed: “I think what we have is a better understanding of the conditions under which Russia would be prepared to end the war...We now have to compare that to what the Ukrainians and our European allies, but the Ukrainians primarily, of course, are willing to accept” and announced: “President Donald Trump will decide whether to impose secondary sanctions on Russia’s trading partners within the next 24 to 36 hours”.

Immediately after Secretary of State Rubio announced the timeline to decide if the United States was going to impose secondary sanctions on Russia’s trading partners yesterday, this report continues, President Trump lashed out at BRICS Alliance founding member India by doubling their tariffs to 50%—India denounced the move as “extremely unfortunate”, while pledging to protect its own national interests—India then canceled a $3.6 billion deal it had with American aircraft company Boeing—and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his plan to visit with BRICS Alliance founding member leader Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Quickly after Prime Minister Modi announced his plan to visit with President Xi yesterday, this report details, President Trump threatened BRICS Alliance founding member China with new tariffs—a threat followed by President Trump’s “reciprocal tariffs” taking effect, about which the leftist New York Times observed: “President Trump’s new tariffs on virtually every U.S. trading partner are a significant step forward in his attempt to reorder global trade, leaving some of the hardest hit governments scrambling to respond on Thursday”—and President Trump posted the notice earlier today: “IT’S MIDNIGHT!!! BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN TARIFFS ARE NOW FLOWING INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!”.

The attempt by President Trump to reorder global trade, this report notes, is an actual war, about which is factually observed: “Donald Trump has expressed implacable hostility to the BRICS grouping of non-Western powers, threatening its 10 members and other partner states with additional tariffs because of the bloc being supposedly anti-American”—and it has also been factually assessed: “The 10 BRICS members now comprise more than a quarter of the global economy and almost half of the world’s population...According to the Economist Intelligence Unit, after 2045, the size of the economies of the BRICS+ countries will exceed the economies of the G7”.

Far from the BRICS Alliance being anti-American, this report concludes, its sole purpose is to promote economic independence free from Western threats, as exampled by the news today: “India and Russia have discussed ways of strengthening their economic partnership, focusing on cooperation in rare earths, aircraft parts manufacturing, and railways”—BRICS Alliance founding member leader Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva just proposed a BRICS leader meeting and warned: “Trump is trying to dismantle multilateralism and promote unilateralism, where he negotiates one-on-one with other countries, allowing the US to maintain the advantage...What bargaining power does a small Latin American country have against the United States?...None”—a warning followed by top Russian lawmaker Senator Alexey Pushkov observing about the global economic firestorm fast nearing: “Brazilian President Lula intends to convene BRICS leaders to develop a joint response to Trump’s tariffs...If a coordinated response is reached, this will mark a new turn in the hidden confrontation between BRICS and the US, one that Trump’s policies sought to prevent”.
