There is total angst in much of America today concerning the real possibility of our country’s being dragged into yet another foreign war…the war between Israel and Iran… that seems to have no bearing on our interests and/or our national security. Many respected conservative commentators are contending that this war is just another episode in the age-old conflict between Muslims and Jews that is not going to solve anything…a conflict from which the USA should just stay away and let these perpetual rivals just have it out. They ask, why is it that the president who we elected to end America’s involvement in endless foreign wars is now pushing us headlong into this most endless of endless international conflicts?

Why is it that President Trump is saying that Iran must never be allowed to have nuclear weapons, just like the Israelis who have just launched a major, kinetic attack on Iran’s nuclear weapons program? Is Trump owned by the “Zionists” who have used the Mossad to compromise the power centers in Washington using bad actors like Jeffrey Epstein? Has AIPAC bought Trump? Is Trump controlled by the Chabad Lubavitchers, a sect of Orthodox Judaism, as ridiculously contended by Benjamin Fulford?

The answer is that Trump’s position in this conflict has very little to do with Israel or the Jews. It rather has everything to do with an existential threat that Iran poses to the United States of which virtually no one is aware. If Iran gets just one nuclear bomb in its hands, it will have the power to destroy our country and ultimately wipe out 90% of our population with just one nuclear flash…a flash in the atmosphere over the center of our country that would emit a devastating electromagnetic pulse or EMP.

What would this EMP do? It would suddenly and, for all that matters, permanently take down our national electric grid and disable every device that employs an electronic circuit board. In short, the clock of the United States would be turned back to the 1860’s before electricity was used for pretty much anything. Think of the last time the lights went out in your house…now imagine what it would be like if they never came back on not just in your house, but everywhere, forever. Your car that is loaded with electronic circuits would not work and even if it did, there would be no way of fueling it. Planes would fall out of the sky, all land transportation that moves goods…trains, trucks…would stop, distribution of food would stop, all farm equipment would stop, there would be no running water, there would be no hospitals, there would be no refrigeration…anything electric would be useless. Civilized society would collapse in days, starvation and disease would run rampant…it would be the Book of Revelation but there would be no hope of salvation for anyone but the very rich and powerful who had built their lavish, EMP hardened underground bunkers in anticipation of being the sole survivors of whatever apocalypse that may come.

This is what Iran has in mind for the United States of America which they have termed “the great Satan.” When they say “death to America” in Iran, their best bet for seeing it happen is with a lone EMP attack. It would just take too many conventionally delivered nuclear devices for Iran to take out the USA and in spite of its fairly advanced ballistic missile program, there is no way that Iran could bring it off before being turned into a glass parking lot itself.

Of course this sort of eventuality may not really worry the mullahs in Tehran because unlike the various nuclear powers on earth including Israel, Iran does not fear MAD…mutually assured destruction that would result from a nuclear exchange. In Shia Islam, Iran’s brand of Islam, there is a deeply significant eschatological belief regarding the coming of the Mahdi or the Hidden Imam, a messiah type figure who it is believed will establish justice and peace on Earth. His reappearance it is said will be preceded by a series of signs and events that can include something like a nuclear holocaust. In other words, a nuclear exchange with the USA or Israel that would probably wipe out both sides would most likely qualify as an event to bring on the Mahdi. It’s like if Christians believed that they could bring about the Second Coming of Christ by doing something that is totally within their worldly control, wouldn’t they try it? This is why most sane people, particularly those in the USA and Israel who might be targeted by a nuclear Iran fears Iran getting even one nuclear weapon…and with regard to the USA, the EMP shot is probably Iran’s best shot.

With Israel putting itself squarely in harm’s way by acting kinetically to stop Iran from getting “the bomb,” it is actually acting to protect the United States even more so than itself. It could even be said that the destruction and casualties that Israel is suffering as a result of its pre-emptive attack on Iran is really Israel taking one for the team. If Israel can survive the missiles long enough while putting enough pain on Iran, it could force Iran to take a deal brokered by somebody like Qatar. Maybe cooler heads could prevail, and Iran would give up their nuclear program in exchange for a Russian nuclear umbrella and some sort of economic incentives, and we can all call it a day.

So I say to my fellow MAGA conservatives who are wondering what the heck Trump is doing looking the other way while Israel seems to be provoking World War III, cool your jets. Trump is the most strategic, the most tactical thinker we’ve had as a president in a long, long time… maybe since old George Washington… and he’s actually on our side which is a real change from the last few presidents we’ve suffered through. As the Donald would say, “let’s see what happens.”
