Why does everyone hate Russia so much? It makes no sense to me. I’ve watched this insane policy since the sixties. Don’t people know history? Yes, the Bolsheviks destroyed the Czar and that form of government. They also proved that communism and socialism do not work. Xi will eventually figure that out too.
Why did we decide to back Ukraine when Russia invaded them in February of 2022? Why would a country like Ukraine go to war with a country like Russia? That is like an ant crawling up an elephants hind leg with rape on it’s mind. The brain dead politician on both sides of the aisle have convinced themselves that Russia is a big scary bogyman or the Neocons have convinced them that we somehow needed them to be the world villain. Why is that? It is like any bureaucracy. It is self fulfilling. Without an enemy, there is no reason to maintain a huge military budget.
Trump keeps saying he doesn’t want war, and that this isn’t his war, yet he keeps sending military aide to Ukraine. Worse, he appears to be a puppet, manipulated by Nutty Yahoo. Is it because he is beholden to Israel for supporting his run for president in 2024. For some reason he is able to excuse Israel’s slaughter of an entire people? There is never any excuse for genocide. I have started a list of people who are in favor of overlooking the genocide and Trumps enforcement of anything Nutty Yahoo wants him to do. The near total annihilation of a people is wrong, no matter who they are or who perpetrates it.
I have gone back and forth on Trump since his first term. One day, I realized I was making excuses for his bad behavior, just because it was Trump. That brought me up short. I began to pay more attention to what he and the other politicians were saying and any contrast in their speech and even more so in their behavior. Trump has been all over the place on what he is saying about Putin, for one thing. And he never misses an opportunity to pat himself on the back and take full credit for the things that turn out well. He also likes to distance himself from things likely to blow up in his face. And, his minions follow in lock step right along with him. Who is controlling his puppet strings? He talks and acts like he is the big shot on the block, but he ultimately does Israel’s bidding.
So, Putin and Zelensky will sit down to negotiate a peace agreement, or he, Trump, will walk away. Okay, I’m impressed. Yes, a permanent peace agreement needs to be signed by both Russia and Ukraine. Yet, every time that comes close to happening, either Putin does not show up or Zelensky throws a childish temper tantrum. All of this occurring while both sides continue to wage war. As a consequence, we edge ever closer to nuclear war. Maybe that’s what needs to happen to clear the playing field. Perhaps those who survive or those who start the next civilization will have better sense.
Even the crazy Neo-cons, who think they will survive any nuclear exchange by hiding in their underground bunkers, are pushing the world ever closer to the edge of destruction. I don’t think their bunkers will protect them for long. But, even if they do, what kind of a world will they come out to? Wouldn’t it be smarter for everyone to act like adults? Maybe I’m naive, but I envision a world where everyone can get along, help other countries when needed, after a natural disaster, for instance. Not one initiated or enhanced with any weather weapons.
If an emerging or third world country has great wealth, underground, for example, how about the first world nations pay for it with real money or a mutually beneficial exchange of goods, instead of raping and pillaging or installing our puppet as leader to get what we want. And, why does any country need weapons beyond something for self defense or from off world entities? Oh, that’s right, the bigger the toy, the happier the boy.
As far as regime change, what business is it of ours, or any other nation, what form of government a country has? Russia tried communism, a dismal failure; Venezuela tried socialism, another dismal failure. When enough of a country’s citizens desire a change in government, it will happen. And the more the government in power tightens the screws, the sooner it will happen. I’m surprised that Xi jinping doesn’t know that. His father did. That is why his father was sent to a re-education camp. Change happens at the right time for a people. Not when some self-righteous intelligence agency decides it is time.
Here are some serious examples of what I mean. Who in the hell gave James Jesus Angleton the authority to kill, or order to be killed, a sitting president? Or private citizens like Mary Pinochet Meyers, who was involved with Kennedy? Angleton was behind so many assassinations. What gives these CIA thugs at the top, the right to topple governments and leaders they don’t like and replace them with American puppets? That is how this nonsense with Ukraine and Russia started, in 2014. We overthrew Viktor Yanukovich in February of 2014. By June of that year, Petro Poroshenko was installed. We also signed the Minsk agreement...again...part of in which we agreed not to install military bases on Russia’s border as well as not inviting the countries surrounding Russia into NATO. In return, Russia agreed not to invade those countries. Have we ever signed an agreement or a treaty where we kept our word? We also don’t have a good track record when it comes to replacing an ousted regime with one more to our liking. For some reason, the people of those countries object to our efforts to turn those countries into a US vassal state. Such ingratitude!
What happened when we meddled in Iran in 1953? Our CIA, in a very short time, worked to destabilized the government of Prime Minister Mossadegh. He was a popular leader in Iran, with some very progressive ideas for the benefit of his people. During his time in office, he brought about many innovative changes, both social and economic, including nationalizing their oil industry. The UK took exception to that and called on the US to help them retain control of the oil fields. The US response was to send the CIA in to orchestrate a coup against Mossadegh. The first attempt failed, but the next one overthrew him and the Shah, Pahlavi was installed.
The CIA are very good at what they do. Seizing control of the press, allowed them to spread propaganda among the citizens, including clergy and some politicians. When the CIA attempted to apprehend Mossadegh, some of his followers got word to him of the attempt and it failed. The second attempt was successful and Mossadegh was arrested and spent the rest of his life under house arrest until the Iranian Revolution of 1953. So, gee, I can’t see any reason for the Iranians to dislike or not trust us.
This is only one small example of the way we control other countries. There are other ways and far too many examples of feasibility on the part of an agency originally created by President Truman to conduct mostly information gathering. With apparently unlimited funding and very little to no accountability, this agency has metastasized into an organization where at least the top officers consider themselves to be above the law. Directors come and go, and I would venture to say, are probably clueless as to what certain sections of agents are doing. Does John Ratcliffe look like someone who is capable of reining in out of control and unaccountable officers of the agency? I very much doubt it.
I believe Russia and other countries, have much to fear from the United States. The CIA have already proven their intent and capability, even though they get caught once in a while, if anyone remembers the Iran/Contra fiasco. So, who is orchestrating this push toward nuclear annihilation between Russia and Ukraine as well as Israel and Palestine? Is President Trump a knowing party to this evil or is he being duped and led around by the nose? I wouldn’t have thought he was so weak-minded as to allow others to do his thinking for him. But, then I remember some of his appointments during his first term and have to wonder. I hope someone who is close to him, will find the courage to help him change course before it is too late. Decisions in Russia are not the sole responsibility of Vladimir Putin either. Some of the people he has to include in foreign policy making are war hawks, just like Lindsey Graham and General Kellogg in our country. I hope someone in our country will put on their big boy pants and help to stop this lunacy before we become a cinder and join the Asteroid Belt.
