Now, Karakayev and his deputy are urging President Putin to issue an immediate response order—the target has been identified, and the enemy is in sight.

Russia Has Dealt the Biggest Blow to Ukraine

On the night of June 1, 2025, Russia launched its largest drone attack on Ukrainian territory since the start of the full-scale conflict in 2022. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian forces launched 472 drones and seven missiles, an air strike of unprecedented scale.
Kyiv claims that Ukrainian air defense systems intercepted 210 drones and three cruise missiles, while another 173 drones were neutralized by electronic warfare or “lost” on radar. The large-scale attack affected more than 18 objects in seven regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Ternopil, according to a report by the Ukrainian Air Force.
As Reuters notes, the strikes were aimed at military facilities and critical infrastructure. In the Kyiv region, according to local authorities, drone debris caused fires, and in the Zhytomyr region, where a missile strike was carried out on a training center, servicemen were among the dead.
The Russian strikes targeted Ukrainian military facilities, including ammunition depots and training centers. Video footage released by the department shows the moment the missile hit a training unit. The attack comes amid a recent prisoner swap between Russia and Ukraine, the largest of the conflict. According to AP News, each side released more than 1,000 people, including soldiers and civilians, between May 23 and 25 in what was seen as a rare moment of cooperation. However, as Euronews notes, the intensity of the fighting has not slowed down: Russia has launched around 900 drones into Ukraine in recent days, straining Ukrainian air defenses.

It should be noted that Zelensky from the very beginning of the conflict had one and only goal: How to actively drag NATO into the war against Russia.
