Lay down flat and let it rot. Be the worst consumer you can be. Defy the status quo. Don't volunteer anything to the system if you have a choice. Go minimalist. I spend all my discretionary time either on the web or with my nose in a book that I paid $1.25 for. My money is spent on food, grooming and cleaning supplies. When I need clothes, I avoid the big name brands and go for cost effective. I wear them until I'd be arrested for it. My personal maintenance is I brush my hair once a day. Yeah, I'm a case of HEY! LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN!, but why would I want it any different? I'm set and the last thing I need is to have a higher market value and draw anymore individuals into my life than I already have. They're time consuming, extra work, extra expensive, and then there's the personal compromises I'm no longer willing to make beyond what I gotta do now.

I work just hard enough to be a little over what I gotta do to get by, drive a little under 6K a year in my 32 year olde car, and do my best to be dead weight to the state and nation. If we lived in a house, we'd have a garden, but in our flat it's not really an option due to reasons that would take too long to explain.

No need for hostile action. Imagine what would happen to the financial sector and government if everyone did this? Noncompliance with the social order, pragmatism, and keeping the lowest overhead you can is the way to go.

Then again, it helps to have the right priorities, huh? Like being in the world and not of it?

Ayuh, I'm talkin' to walls here. If a notable amount of individuals followed through with this, I'd be assassinated.

Then again I hate life, so. . .
