Happy May! It seems like only yesterday that I was wishing you a happy April. I'm not sure if time is speeding up or if our perception of time is changing. In any case, events seem to be moving at incredible speed!
But there is also something ironic happening...
It feels like the chaos in the world is settling. I don't mean that it's stopping. I mean that we seem to be achieving a rather bizarre equilibrium where chaos and change have become the norm.
So what does this mean?
Perhaps our collective nervous system is becoming accustomed to ongoing chaos, and now we are actually figuring out how to adjust. It's our human nature to find ways to adapt.
Today I want to suggest one powerful way to adapt and take advantage of the irony of a strange form of stability existing in the midst of all this chaos. When chaos and change begin to feel like a reliable state of affairs, we can actually get a more stable foothold within our situation.
This is where we can create a positive turning point in our lives.
So now is the perfect time to return your life to a positive, evolutionary course of manifestation and purpose.
I think that for a long time it was natural to want to wait and see where this world was heading. The upheaval that we've all been through since 2020 has been immense! But now it seems pretty clear that our old world is gone, and it's never coming back. Strangely, it feels like things are beginning to settle a little bit.
So now is the time to pause and remember why you exist here on Earth in the first place. It's time to consciously choose your own direction again. You can do that by asking yourself a few, simple questions.
Take a fresh look within, and ask yourself if there is a new life that you feel most inspired to create. You no longer have the constraints of the old status quo of society mapping out your life for you. That old 'cookie-cutter' lifestyle that was supposed to bring happiness to everyone was always a bit suspect anyway.
Now you are free to actually create a life that is more aligned with you as an individual. You don't have to worry about social approval because at this point I don't think anyone knows WHAT to approve of anymore.
For example, I just saw an article explaining how a college degree is no longer needed or wanted by many employers. It seems that employers are more interested in hiring people who know how to work with AI.
So now there are millions of current and former students who are holding what may soon become a useless piece of paper that cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars in loans and student debt 😱.
And speaking of AI, I want to share a revelation I just had when it comes to the idea that AI will replace human artists. I don't believe there is any way this will happen. Something clicked for me the other day!
I think it's insulting to tell human artists that they have to compete with a machine. That is worse than comparing apples and oranges, as the saying goes. Human created art is vastly different from AI generated art. I don't even feel inclined to compare them anymore. If we think they're the same, that's like saying that a photo of a rose is the same as the actual rose itself because they look exactly alike. We don't get confused about such things.
And likewise we should not confuse ourselves about AI and human created art. We humans are a part of nature, and therefore what we artistically create is a part of the natural world. Comparing human art to AI art is like comparing a silk flower to the real thing. They might look alike, but one is alive and the other isn't.
So let's put AI art in a category all its own. I think we should frame it as a separate medium of art. Let's not frame it as competitive any more than we frame watercolor painting as being competitive with oil painting or photography.
And don't forget that digital art has been around for a long time. And that takes a good degree of human skill to create.
But most importantly, let's remember that behind all of these endless forms of art there is a real human being directing its creation, including the individual creations of AI.
It's like I always say...We humans are still the superior species. We will always be the real creators on this planet.
I hope this simple viewpoint helps put some things to rest for you if this has been an issue in your consciousness. If we manage our experience of this technology well, we can move into an even greater expansion of our human capabilities.
I encourage you to take some time this weekend to pause and consider where you are in your life. Are you ready to let the world be whatever it is for now, and focus on your own transformation? This is an awesome time for that pivot!
Have a peaceful day, and I'll talk to you next week.
Much love,
Saratoga 💖
