So a low level public servant pursues a suspect (no fact of crime) into a store and provokes a shoot out and empties a full mag towards the suspect AND the innocent people beside the suspect. Then the low level public servant proceeds to empty another mag into and at the suspect with traffic and public at large squarely in the line of fire behind the suspect who has now been judged by the low level public servant to be guilty of all crimes, both real and imaginary, and executed.

The low level public servant could have simply parked behind the suspect's (no fact of crime) car and waited for backup. Innocent people need not have been factually and recklessly endangered which is a real and provable crime. The suspect has not and cannot at this point be proved to be criminal by evidence and jury. It's a safe bet that the low level public servant will not be tried for reckless slaughter or reckless endangerment.

The low level public servant is not a hero by any stretch of imagination.
