From Mac, to iPod, to iPhone, Apple was always known for innovation under Steve Jobs - but since Tim Cook took over, the company has never really seemed to be the same. While the Vision Pro is cool, it isn't exactly changing the world yet - so today we ask the question: does Apple still innovate?

cars don’t change year to year, phones don’t need to change every year… it's a tool for everyday life now.

I still use my M1 Air. It's amazing. The 2020 Intel Air is a piece of trash compared to it. The migration to Apple silicon is, for me, the most Apple has innovated in the past decade.

No, last year was a clear reason for me saying no, their ‘upgrades’ were disappointing to say the most, the only product that deserved any recognition was the Mac mini, base model only excluding any upgrades. I am rooting for the Vision Pro but not in its current price point and technological functionality, they need to raid MIT and find the best candidates to help them with innovation.

As far as the question of innovation, Tim Cook answered when he didn’t answer criticism from Mark Zuckerberg, if Tim is planning to answer Zuck with amazing innovation, we’ll just have to wait and see. iPhone innovation and design is stagnant so far. We’ll have to see what they offer this year and beyond but they clearly have work to do and their impact on right to repair is as bad as their corporate greed M O which accounts for their $3trillion valuation, IMO
