The historic meeting between Trump’s team and Zelensky of Ukraine was one of the most outstanding events of the past 50 years.
Zelensky was so far off base and lacked common diplomacy, that it became a train wreck from the very start.

It is obvious that he has created a delusional world around himself, with “yes men”, and wealthy elite politicians from Europe that encouraged him to go to war against Russia - that he thought the US under Trump’s Whitehouse would follow in lockstep with the globalists.
But Trump is not a pushover and saw through the deep state rhetoric in classic statesmanship fashion.

Everything Trump and Vance said was true, but everything Zelensky said was a falsehood or a gross exaggeration. The Ukrainian leader was so far off base, it makes a person wonder if he was on drugs or under the influence of alcohol.

It was truly refreshing to see Trump and Vance tag team against “the little dictator” from Europe that wanted to turn his comedy act into running a country, which has been a disaster with over 1 million dead.

Trump made it clear that Zelensky was there to get more support from the US to continue the war against Russia. But Trump wasn’t having any of it.

Trump made it clear that what Zelensky was looking for was the back-up of the US to give Zelensky clout and more advantage in the war against Russia. But Trump saw right through that manipulation and shut it down immediately. Trump said: “I’m not wanting an advantage, I am wanting peace.”

In that one statement alone, the world knew why we elected Trump.
This was one of those historic, pivotal moments where a populist president came shining through on the right side of political arguments.

I hope he continues using the same kind of wisdom in other major issues that require that kind of understanding and courage to stand for what is right. George Eaton
