BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | February 28, 2025: Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at the White House on Friday morning for a meeting with President Donald Trump, to be followed by a planned news conference after signing documents for the US to secure rare earth minerals.

The meeting at the White House got heated between Zelensky and Trump, into a shouting match, with the US president telling Ukraine’s leader “make a deal or we’re out” during an angry exchange about the nature of US support for peace and rare earth minerals, to help pay back the billions of dollars President Biden gave Zelensky.

No documents were signed after the initial meeting, and Trump posted on Truth Social the following: "I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations." So the agreement that was expected to be signed was cancelled by Trump.

However, during the exchange, President Volodymyr Zelensky gave President Trump a veiled warning: "...During the [Ukraine] war everybody have problems. Even you, but you have nice ocean and don't feel [it] now, but you [are going to ] feel it in the future." Trump then replied, "You don't know that. Don't tell us what we are going to feel." "You're in no position to dictate to us on what we're going to feel." Zelensky then replied to Trump, "You are going to feel the influence. I'm telling you, you're going to feel the influence."
