THE CATHOLICS, THE GNOSTICS, AND GLOBAL WARMING

In recent Digest Articles we looked at simple science experiments you can do to prove that there is NO greenhouse layer, and thus there is no man-made global warming. We looked at how the concept of "global warming" is based on a new "religion" with the so-called "proof" being based not on scientific evidence, but on a "consensus" of the College of "green house" Cardinals.

We looked at how human history shows a repeating cycle of about 2,000 years of Dark Ages with a small interlude of 200 years of scientific discoveries and technological break-throughs. Then the new science is quickly turned into a new form of world government-religion. The new Dark Age and a new "one world government" is about to begin with the "belief" in the Global Warming religion as the harbinger.

Recently there has been much news hype about a newly discovered ancient gnostic scroll called the Gospel of Judas. This gives us another look into the Global Warming religion. Anyone wanting information about the Gnostic religion would probably start with the excellent books by Dr. Elaine Pagels. But in those books you would be hard put to find any difference between the Gnostic religion and the Catholic religion. And there is a reason.

There is NO difference between the "religion" of the Catholics and the Gnostics. There might be some minor "sectarian" belief differences, but they are both substantially "Christian" religions.

The big difference is that the beliefs of the Gnostics were a "religion" but "Catholicism" is a GOVERNMENT. Catholicism became the first state religion which is banned by the US Constitution, and is the model and basis for all fundamentalist Muslim governments.

The term "Catholic" is not a religious term. It is from the Latin "cata-holic" which means "categorically whole" or complete. It could be called the First Century version of "The New World Order." It was the Christian religion which was combined with the Roman Empire, but with the new head of government being the Pope, rather than the Roman emperor. (I should note that I am referring here only to the early or historical Catholic church and NOT the current Catholic church.)

The Gnostics, mostly in Egypt, from about 200 AD refused to be subservient to the newly forming central government church in Rome. Despite all the "horror" stories about feeding Christians to the lions, the Roman "church and state" actually started coming together about 100 AD. It is clear from the apostle Paul's writings, that it started during the lifetime of Paul, in the first century. For that reason, the early Gnostics were branded as "heretics," simply because they refused to be subservient to the church in Rome.

The Gnostics were mostly all the many Christian churches in Egypt. There were hundreds of them around 200 AD, all up and down the Nile River. That is where the 50 or so Nag Hammadi Library texts and even the Gospel of Judas were found, in Egypt. The Gnostic gospels were all secretly hidden away, and only found thousands of years later, since the Catholics in Rome had already decided to seek out and burn them all. We only now, are finding the long lost remnants. And now you know why they were so carefully hidden away, and why they were so very hard to find.

Most of the gnostic texts were written in Coptic, which is the Egyptian language using Greek alphabet letters. The texts almost all describe an ongoing "spiritual war" between the "good church" and the "bad church."

Most Gnostic scholars have all made the same mistake of thinking that the two churches were two sects among the Hebrew religion. But not so. The bad church was the nascent Catholic church in Rome which about the time of the writing of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi Library, had already begun the mass-murders of all heretics and the burning of all their writings.

I had discovered that fact back in 1975, but so far I have not read any scholar, including Dr Elaine Pagels, who has figured out that the two churches were "Christian" and not "Hebrew." But that is because the Catholic church had completely "erased" all history of the events between 100 AD and 350 AD, except in the "approved" biblical texts, so no scholars ever made the connection that the "bad church" was the Catholics.

The Vatican Library in Rome has 25 miles of shelves of historical books and documents hidden in deep crypts, going back to the founding of the church. Like all criminal governments, such as Hitler's Nazis and Saddam's Tikriti Sunnis, they all kept good records of all the names of peoples and groups annihilated. But so far, nobody has been able to get access to any of the very early Vatican documents. Maybe some day.

The Gospel of Judas is actually not new. It was discovered about 30 years ago, about the same time as the Dead Sea Scrolls, along with the Nag Hammadi Library, but the "owner" wanted to sell it to the highest bidder but nobody bought it at her price. But finally the seller found a good price, since it now has the value of being made into a movie, meaning potential big bucks.

But the text of the Judas scrolls had been translated and known for decades. So, one wonders why all the current hoopla in the newsmedia about "the Judas Text" -- unless it's pushing for a new movie. As a follow on to the movie blockbusters, Mel Gibson's "Passion" and the new Dan Brown movie "Da Vinci Code" -- the revelations in the Judas Text would fit right in as a successful sequel -- "The Passion of Judas in the Da Vinci Code Part II."

Many people blame the "horrendous" reign of Constantine for the source of massacres. But it wasn't just the corrupt emperors. They were all corrupt and murderous which is why Rome failed and was taken over by a religion. It was actually the Church itself, with its new "power of the state" which now had the ability and manpower to produce and direct genocide against all "infidels and heretics." Muhammad merely copied the early Catholics 300 years later. And many Islamic sects still do today.

That early Catholic event is actually described in a odd book now found at the end of the bible, called "Revelation" -- it is not properly a part of the bible and is not a religious book. The book of Revelation is addressed to "the seven churches in Asia." That meant it was written to the churches in Greece and Turkey along with the church in Rome. But, it did NOT mention any of the larger ten or twelve major Christian churches in Africa, meaning Egypt. The Egyptian Christian or Coptic church was actually much larger with many more sects than the Asian or Roman Church. But they had refused to be subsumed under the control of Rome. It was a problem of government, and not a difference in religious beliefs.

In fact, it was a horrendous event called the "Massacre of the Theban Legion" which directly led to the collapse of the Roman Empire under the Roman emperors. The Theban Legion of the Roman Army was entirely made up of Coptic Christians from the Egyptian city of Thebes. I will let the reader look this up and read about the real reason why the Roman government collapsed. It is a story which the early Catholic church did not want published. It should have been one of the most popular and instructive religious books in the bible, but since it involved the Christian Egyptian Copts, it was "banned" from the bible.

The Revelation text was written about 300 AD and was part of the attempt to find a "proper" collection of "acceptable" texts which had already been "secretly chosen" before the Council of Nicea formally voted on any choices. The story of the choice of the acceptable books is the story found in Revelation. It described all the "horrible" events which would befall those who did not join the "Seven Churches" under the hegemony in Rome.

The book of Revelation is NOT a book of prophecy. It is a book of history. It was a book of advertising for the new Catholic World Government "under god." I can see the parallels between the text in "Revelation" and the modern "Federalist Papers." Both documents try to "sell" the advantages of a strong central federal government or church. The big selling point in Revelation was that if you don't join the central Roman Church, then you will be among the "third of the world who will be destroyed -- unless you 'repent' and join the seven churches." That is an odd prophesy, unless you know why the document was written. That was a strong selling point, and it was actually put into practice about 370 AD.

All those who think "Revelation" is prophetic and to be read today as prophesy, didn't understand the text. All the events predicted in the Revelation text already came about with the founding of the Church in Rome with the "Gift of Constantine" and the Council of Nicea about 10 years later. This was followed by the massive genocide of Christian "heretics" described in the "Revelation." Thus the Book of Revelation was really the historical "marching orders" for the army of the newly founded Roman-Empire/Catholic-Church after 370 AD.

The book of Revelation is far different from all the other biblical texts, so I wonder why it was ever included into the collection of biblical texts. Except for the fact that it was was "specially commissioned" for the Council of Nicea as their "plan of action" after the Council meeting. Thus, it really was an addendum or appendix for the chosen biblical texts, which all the council members took back home with them. It also must have been discussed and approved by the Nicean Council for it to be on the approved list of books. But the appendix then included what all the "good Catholics" should do when they got back home, which is why the "appendix marching orders" now appears stuck at the end of the bible.

Much later, there was a big reason for the split in the Catholic Church with the Reformation occurring in 1500 AD, which most people still don't understand. Martin Luther did rebel, and formed the Protestant religion, but NOT because his "religion" was different. Martin Luther protested and seceded from the corrupt "government" in Rome. Both the Catholics and Protestants are still "Christian" religions, but they have different "governments." The Reformation was the "north" seceding from the "south" followed by a century long civil war and the deaths of millions. It was a Civil War, based on differences in constitution, and not on any theological differences.

The Catholic constitution is based on the central control of a single "pontiff." The word pontiff is from the Latin meaning a "bridge" who is authorized to reach across from this world into the spiritual world, and then bring back special spiritual knowledge. The Catholics only select and approve one "pontiff." The Protestants don't accept the concept of the "pontiff" as the only source of spiritual knowledge.

The first to show disbelief in the "pontiff" theory was the English King, Henry VIII. Henry believed he could make his own spiritual rules. The Anglican church is almost exactly the same as the Catholic church, but with a different English Pontiff. When Henry's secession seemed to work, since the army in Rome could not defeat the English army despite many attempts, this quickly led Martin Luther to also decry the concept of the "Roman pontiff" and then to secede. This also worked. The army of the Protestants was just too big to be defeated by Rome.

This same situation was also true for the very early church, when the Egyptian Christian Copts also did not believe in the concept of the Roman "pontiff." The Copts felt that they had their own "bridge to knowledge" and is why they were called "Gnostics." The word Gnostic comes from the Greek word "gnosis" meaning "to Know" The Gnostics had their own "pontiff" or way of "Knowing." The difference is one of governments and not religious beliefs.

That same "reformation" civil war event had actually occurred nearly 1200 years earlier, when the Egyptian Gnostics seceded from the European Catholics. The result was a massive world-wide civil war beginning about 370 AD. Of course, you never heard of this before. All of this was completely"erased" from the history of the Catholic Church and none of the bloodthirsty mass murders is to be found in the biblical texts -- except in Revelation. It certainly was not taught in any Catholic churches.

That is the value of the newly discovered Gnostic Texts. The Catholic and Gnostic religions were the same Christian religions, but the governments described in the Gnostic texts were far different from the government in Rome. That is what Dr. Elaine Pagel's was trying to describe in her books, but most people don't understand that she was NOT showing the differences in the "religions" but the differences in the "government."

I have to admit, that Dr. Pagels was not very clear on that point, which is why many readers might not understand that is what she was describing. I had already studied this topic back in 1975, with a special world-class scholar who was a specialist on the Reformation. My professor at the University of Santa Clara had actually spent several years of post-doctorate theological study in the depths of the Vatican Library. That's how I know what's in that library. Strangely, my professor was the only Lutheran scholar at the Jesuit-run University of Santa Clara.

My professor had been especially "commissioned" by both the Lutheran and Catholic churches to research and report on the "reasons" for the Reformation Movement, and maybe find a way to heal the great schism between the two churches. That would be a massive job, and a major change in today's world. Of course, that meant a special dispensation from the Pope in Rome to allow a "foreigner," a highly respected Lutheran scholar from America, to go rummaging through the basement of the Vatican Library Archives. Wow? Just think, if only I had been able to tell him what to go look for, before he began his research.

In my studies with him, I tried to "drain" him of everything he knew and had seen in the Vatican Library. I knew he was a very special resource which was not available to anybody else. He was most surprised to find that I had already researched this topic on my own, several years earlier. That's why he accepted me as a special independent study research student.

Most of what you are reading here was discovered by me about 1972. I told this to my professor in 1975. He was most amazed. Which is why we spent almost a year working together on a new revised history of the Reformation period. He had all the actual data from the Vatican Library, and I had the theory. We put the two together.

For some reason, he expected me to publish our findings, and he said that he hoped to read the book soon. But that was 30 years ago, and I still haven't published it. I got distracted for two decades by a small side project called the NASA Space Shuttle. But I am now back to publishing it as part of the front page topics in the Brother Jonathan Gazette.

I wrote several advanced independent-studies research papers for him on that topic as part of my university minor in Epistemology. Epistemology is also called either the History of Science or the Theory of Knowledge. Epistemology is properly a part of the department of philosophy, but at Santa Clara it was under the religious studies department. So when I later, read the newly published books by Dr. Pagels about Gnosticism, I already knew that the big difference between Catholicism and Gnosticism was governmental and NOT religious. When looked at from that point of view, the strange book, "The Gnostic Gospels" by Pagels, suddenly all makes sense.

And now today's scientific experiment:

Run to your bookshelf or library and get a copy of the book of Revelation. Then grab a copy of your newspaper and look for the latest Theory of Global Warming. You can find both on the Internet. Then carefully read both documents.

Both documents claim to predict massive worldwide destruction. Both claim to predict the end of the world as we know it. Both blame "the sins" of mankind for bringing on the destruction. Both documents claim you must repent and stop your beliefs in "heresies" or you will be among the dead. Both claim that the "end times" are at hand.

Both documents are products of powerful government-controlled priesthoods. One document proclaims you must accept the findings of the Council of Nicea and accept the behavior protocols of Revelation - or else. The other document proclaims you must accept the findings of the Council of Rio and accept the behavior Protocols of Kyoto - or else. Both documents were designed to make believers accept a One-World or Cata-holic New World Order -- or else.

Since both similar documents are carefully crafted government "mind control" propaganda, what is the major difference between the two? About 1,700 years...
