As hoped for, Trump came through with monumental changes in government. Every time Trump’s team uncovered wasteful spending that amounted to $billions, Trump’s popularity soared again.
To be honest, the exposure of fraud, waste and corruption in government programs have been so widespread and obscured from public view, that Americans are having a hard time keeping up with the daily comments from The Whitehouse.
As this is unfolding on an hourly basis, the Democrats are crying in their beer as they see their own pet projects and alleged involvement being exposed. For too many decades politicians had hidden slush funds they could manipulate in obscure government “organizations” without any official oversight.
Inside those US funded groups, politicians with their own political agendas, were able to send money all over the world to further their own causes. This was being funded by US tax payers who had no knowledge of these operations.
There was also a possibility that funds that were allocated to foreign groups or individuals were also instructed to give “kick-backs” to those that sent them the money. However, this would be very difficult to prove.
The fact that the ultra-liberal democrats are screaming the most proves the old country story: “If you throw a rock into a crowded pig pen and one of the hogs squeals out in pain, that’s the one you hit!”
Trump promised to find waste in government and stop it in its tracks. This is commendable and greatly needed in a government that is $35 trillion in debt.
I am thankful for every single thing Trump has done to help fix the system and bring sanity back to government. He even had to make a presidential order to allow plastic straws to come back into use instead of flimsy paper straws. This illustrates how far the loony left had gone to promote their fake global warming falsehood.
In California the left had become so unhinged they were preventing water from flowing into reservoirs to help with fire fighting emergencies. Trump had to make declarations to re-open the water flow! Instead of seeing the error in their left-wing ideas the left wing politicians started discussing seceding from the USA.
The government has been going in the wrong direction for so many decades that it will take time to correct the problems that exist throughout the system. The crazy thing is, people aren’t used to seeing so much exposure of fraud and abuse. They aren’t used to seeing real politicians actually do things to take a government and a nation in the right direction.
This exposure of reality and stands for fair play are not limited inside our borders. Trump has also exposed the illegal and dangerous invasion of illegal aliens, drug and human trafficking and the worldwide tariffs that have been placed on American goods.
To correct the problem of unfair trade policies he started placing an equal number of tariffs on countries that were targeting the US.
Again, the pigs in the pig pen started screaming as if they were being hit out of the blue by a stranger. But Trump didn’t do anything that was unjustified. He was giving them a taste of their own medicine. They don’t have a leg to stand on to cry foul. As soon they stop their tariffs, the US will end our tariffs on them.
Now For The Bad News. The wrecking ball mentality Trump has may work wonders and be fully justified on domestic issues, however, there is a fine line between genius and being “manic”.
Every person is susceptible to blind spots in their world view and they can also become vulnerable to over-confidence and attempt to apply success from one situation to another, assuming it will work.
Here is a description of manic behavior:
“Mania is a state of abnormally elevated mood, energy, and activity levels..”
When Trump started mentioning taking over Canada, Panama, Greenland, and owning the Gaza Strip to build casino hotels and condos - this was a genuine concern by anyone observing his behavior.
In addition to that, when you add the blind spot Trump has for apartheid Israel, in defending them, after they have clearly been conducting a systematic genocide, is indefensible by any human being that believes in human decency and justice.
The bottom line is, a president can be wildly successful in some areas and at the same time be totally off base on other issues.
In a person’s life they can go through a wide variety of upheavals and changes, gaining some success and also make mistakes at times. But when a “president” wields power, his behavior can have drastic consequences.
Case in point is the situation between Israel and the surrounding Muslim nations. If Trump considers himself invulnerable to failures and that defending Israel is next to defending God himself, this attitude could take the Middle East into a major war where nuclear weapons could be used on both sides. As dangers go, that is as bad as it gets.
We can laugh and giggle at Trump’s successes at home, but if he tries to apply his performance on foreign policies it could end up becoming a disaster that could place millions of lives at stake.
This is why a stable, wise and careful statesman is preferable in a government position rather than a bombastic circus barker bragging about the next great sensation he presents to the world.
I have always been a Trump supporter and solidly believe in his domestic policies. And each time he does the right thing for the nation and the people I will defend it.
But I am also required to call out warning signs that could lead to dangerous moves that could become a disaster.
A few years ago, I was talking to a gentleman who was a key company leader where he climbed the ladder of success. He was praising what Trump had done and was supporting him wholeheartedly. I agreed with him, then I said, “But, I am concerned about him always bragging about what he can accomplish. This is not a sign of a humble Christian and can lead to dangerous consequences.”
The man was shocked I would question Trump in that way, but he was silent for a while and said, “Well, I hear what you’re saying, I am not a sycophant.”
He meant that he would not follow someone blindly as a sycophant follows a leader blindly, and to act in an obsequious manner – which means to be servile, slavish, and subservient towards a person.
As American citizens we are duty bound by an inheritance of liberty and justice to think things through and see the world for what it truly is, not what we think it is while wearing rose colored glasses.
We have a responsibility to adhere to the truth and take wise, rational steps to defend our Constitutional Republic. When we see irrational behavior and unbalanced manic thinking we should call it out immediately.
Our nation was founded on the principle that no one man should be followed as a king, but rather the nation should decide “by the people” how government conducts its service “to and for the people”.
These are complicated issues and there are no easy answers. The Trump team are doing a good job in exposing financial abuse in government and this needs to be supported. Which reminds me of the saying: "In the multitude of counsel there is safety".
But when any politician deviates away from rational thinking and operates in a manic behavior, that too must be called into question to bring back balance into governmental actions. George Eaton
