Brace Yourself: 2025 is Unfolding in Unprecedented Ways 🤯
What a feat that we made it through January! More has happened this month than anything we've seen before during this relatively boring time of year. But this could be a sign of how the rest of this year will likely unfold with one surprise or shocking event after another.
We've already had the major fires in California and then the big plane and helicopter crash a couple of days ago. Plus it looks like the US is being completely remade almost overnight with Trump's inauguration. And then China comes out with its surprise (and supposedly amazing) AI called DeepSeek, and throws everything into turmoil 😱.
So get yourself mentally prepared! This is going to be a truly fascinating and unpredictable year. We have exponential innovation happening with AI that is converging with enormous political upheaval. I don't think anyone knows where things are going to end up. But whatever happens, I think we should each be prepared for massive, accelerated, and unpredictable change. We could potentially find ourselves in the midst of a huge level of culture shock 😳.
Given all of this, what do you think is the single most effective thing you can do to navigate these changes and how they might affect you personally? Let me share with you what I think the most important thing is.
More than anything else, it is most important that you know yourself through and through. That way you can remain stable and un-confused. But here's the catch: Knowing yourself in this way has nothing to do with judging yourself as good or bad.
I think so many of us confuse this type of self-judgement with knowing ourselves. For example, a person might judge themselves to be some type of failure in life. Thus they will say things like, "I know myself to be a failure at losing weight." Or they might say, "I know myself to be a workaholic." Or how about, "I know myself to be a night owl."
While such things might be somewhat true and necessary to recognize, they are mostly based on past experiences or on patterns of behavior. I did the "night owl" one for years. I was convinced that this is who I was because I had repeatedly failed at going to bed early. As long as I thought I knew myself as a night owl, it was impossible for me to change.
At some point, I realized that I was always tired even though I got my 8 hours of sleep by getting up later. Then I learned a thing or two about how our biological systems are regulated by the sun's light. I realized that I was dramatically out-of-sync with the most basic biological rhythms that our bodies are subject to between the sun and the earth.
I decided to step away from the 'night owl' identity, and eventually found a way to get myself in sync again. And once I did, I saw that I was completely wrong to think that I was some biological exception to these powerful cycles.
My body proved the point to me by suddenly having way more energy and focus when I regularly went to bed at 9:00 and got up at 5:30. I have to admit I was pretty surprised to be so wrong about something I was formerly so right about - Lol!
Here is my point in sharing this with you. When I talk about knowing yourself, I really mean knowing where you might be wrong about your self-imposed judgements and beliefs. It means to know how you actually are when you are more aligned. It means to rediscover your true nature before you developed self-defeating patterns and beliefs that covered your true nature up.
It's a process of daily self-reflection where you explore (in a relaxed way) where you are aligned and where you are not. It means to develop a dynamic habit of mindfulness and being more conscious overall.
The more that you do this, the more you will discover what you really want in life. And then you will be able to set your own goals about things that truly matter to you.
All of this will help you to feel more present in your life. More in control. And more grounded, confident, and clear. And this is exactly the state we want to be in if and when all hell continues to break loose on this planet. We want to be able to remain calm, feel secure, and know exactly where we stand.
So think of yourself as being in a supportive energy bubble of your own making. This is not intended to detach you from the world around you. It's more about knowing that you have greater control over your experience of being alive.
Remember that you have the right to create the kind of energy that you want to live in. Take command of the energy around your home, your workspace, and your consciousness overall. Be a positive influence on the energy within and around your body.
And bring a more loving energy into all your important relationships. In short, be a LIGHT for yourself and for others.
I'll finish with this: Being authentic means to be aligned with your most real, sincere, and aligned self as an empowered human creator. When you consider all of this, you can hopefully see that you have the most wonderful opportunity available to you each and every day. And that opportunity is the priceless experience of learning to evolve as a cosmic human being.
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend!
Sending you much love,
Saratoga ❤️
