Have you ever read any of the books written by a Theoretical Physicist named Fred Hoyle? He has written both scientific books and a few 'Sci-Fi' books. One of them (October the 1st is too late'.. delves into what you are describing. Time travel that can, or can not, change future events. Don't get me started on his work on Plasma fields and how he thinks they hold intelligent life, in space.

PS Fringe is on Amazon Prime, and also on Hulu.. I canceled Hulu and miss watching it there. I heard that it's on MAX, but don't know that for sure.
