BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | January 6, 2025: Former US assistant treasury secretary and renowned economist Dr Paul Craig Roberts said, the 'deep state' was never part of the Founding Fathers' design; it has turned US democracy into fiction.

US political scientist Francis Fukuyama described the 'deep state' as a network of "unaccountable professional bureaucrats," but it is really a far more extensive entity in its design. Dr Roberts noted that this [abusive] entity encompasses not only bureaucrats but also elected officials, Wall Street, major corporations and even foreign government lobbyists. It is a modern-day Leviathan that is deeply embedded and concealed within the structure of the US government, with professional bureaucrats who are pulled up the ranks, serving merely as pawns in the games of their overlords, the Ruling Elites.

The selection of who will serve the overlords begins from college, into corporations, etc. and those generally serve as advisors; then you have those who use the election route into congress and the senate, where they need funding to push their election. This is where the special-interest groups intersect with the elite crime syndicate overlords. If the ones who choose the election route refuse to work with the special-interest groups, opposition candidates well-funded will run against them to become the new sitting members of the congress and the senate serving the elite crime syndicate.

Behind the façade of this US democracy, voters can only choose from candidates approved by the Establishment or the Ruling Elite. In this design, "The power that the Constitution gave to individuals now belongs to interest groups that determine elections with campaign contributions," noted Dr Roberts. So, the elected representatives are beholden to interest groups who funded and supported them, such as the influential Israel lobby, arms manufacturers, intelligence agencies, pharmaceutical companies, agribusiness corporations, Wall Street and others, all of whom provide funding and favorable publicity [as the corporate media sings along] to those they help elect. ...
