Steinbeck falls into the same trap as most who judge man as being this or that. That is very shallow thinking. That type of thinking is allowed and elevated by the powers that be because it conditions man to look up to that which is presented as superior when in fact it is not superior but shallow.

The root problem is the relentless conditioning, coercion, terrorizing and other manor of subtle and overt force used to shape man into a domestic resource. There are influences at work that the average person will go to great lengths to avoid knowing because of conditioning.

This has been going on for several thousand years. The chief characters of subversion and treason against this planet are not of this planet although they are aided by certain of this planet. Their moral fiber can be perfectly described as unrestrained "hook or crook". They are very good at what they do.

Anyone who says man is this or that has missed the larger picture or is distracting from the larger picture.

Steinbeck is nobody. A man would do well to have faith in himself before having faith in others.
