I can imagine that in the secret military discussions that someone in the “war room’ said something like this “If not us, who? If not now, when?”
The Israelis are fully aware that a large enemy nation like Iran must be dealt with decisively, or else they will hit back even stronger, and have to be dealt with again.
It is quite amusing that Biden commented officially that the Iranian missile strike on Israel was “ineffective and a failure”. Well, if that was the case, why have Israel even bother retaliating? They could count their lucky stars and then get on with their lives after dodging the bullet. But if they attack Iran now, regardless what they target or how massive it is, the Iranians have assured them that they would hit back much harder.
The truth is, the Israelis have been provoking Iran and other “terrorists” to attack them for the specific reason that they intend to take out Iran’s military power once and for all.
The Israelis want to pacify any enemy and remain the last man standing in the Middle East. If they don’t accomplish this, they run the genuine risk of repeating the holocaust of WW2.
Let’s consider for a minute that they attack with a measured and so-called “proportionate” response. The Iranians are going to still attack Israel again with a much larger missile attack this time, and will destroy their infrastructure, and may even use nukes. Can Israel risk that possibility? They may be thinking: “Why not get the war over with one pre-emptive attack?”
If Israel is measured in their attack, they will without a doubt, have to go back and hit them again – but, only after thousands of Israelis will be dead already, and their cities in smoldering ruins.
Looking at the military history of Israel, it’s simply not in their DNA to be proportionate - if anything they make overkill actions every time, hence the genocide of 42,000 Gazans – and it’s not over yet.
In my opinion, it is not logical, or historically accurate for the Israelis to hold back and make a proportionate attack against Iran.
It would be better to simply not attack at all. It would also be better if the Palestinians would also stop attacking Israel. When each side attacks, the other side is motivated to make more revenge attacks, and it never ends. At some point the killing has to stop.
If Israel wants to hold on to their nation, regardless of its form of government, they have to deport their potential internal enemies, and seal their borders, and stop warring. They have to learn to get along with their neighbors. So far, they are basically getting along with Egypt, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia to mention a few. That in itself was quite an accomplishment.
However, they keep giving the Palestinians and Iranian proxies the justification to keep fighting. So far, the only solution that Israel has come up with is to simply “kill them all”. Hey Israel, how’s that working out for you so far?
The “kill them all” policy is a disaster, and only magnifies the enemies resolve against you. This is not rocket science. The more Palestinians they kill, the more that join the “holy” cause against Israel. It is an absolute tragedy taking place before our eyes, live on TV. Both sides are trapped in a vicious cycle of death and destruction.
If Israel does hit Iran with the most powerful attack possible, it may reduce the blow back and ability for Iran to do a major retaliation. This is an unknown factor no one can easily predict. But it will incite even more hatred against Israel - that is a guarantee.
It is possible that Turkey, Pakistan, Russia, even China and others might join forces against Israel and the US at that point. That would be WW3. And that’s IF Israel hits Iran hard.
If Israel is proportionate, all that happens is that Iran strikes back as promised, and tens of thousands die, the cities will be in ruins, and guess what? Israel will then counter attack and nuke Iran back into the stone age. And that’s IF Israel makes a moderate attack. Both outcomes will lead to a major disaster for the world.
What I would wish for is that “calmer heads would prevail”, but for some reason, that possibility doesn’t seem possible. It’s almost as if the hidden powers actually want a bad outcome.
It makes a person wonder if this is part of a depopulation agenda – where there are literally no options available to avoid a global disaster. What we are facing is a nightmare situation. Whatever Israel or Iran does, it will degrade into a major war. The hatred is strong in the Middle East, and there doesn’t seem to be a solution in sight.
Aliens anybody? Now would be a good time for aliens to intervene. How about the rapture and the sudden return of Christ? That would certainly be a big event and might stop wars in their tracks. How about a passing asteroid that causes a pole shift and places the entire world fighting against a natural disaster, and they would have no time for wars? Shucks, a person can’t get any of those things when they are so badly needed.
We, the unlucky few, that are faced with one conflict and pandemic after the other - are sadly left to survive on a daily basis, as we search the sky for falling missiles and try to avoid terrorists around every corner, are left with hoping to die in our sleep as our only comfort to hang on to, and give the future to the next generation.
