The pagers used in this incident are identified as Gold Apollo AP-900 models. These pagers are commonly utilized in internal communication systems in various settings, including healthcare, restaurants, and industrial environments. The AP-900 operates on UHF and VHF frequencies and is powered by a standard AAA alkaline battery. Its primary features include a large alphanumeric display, vibration alerts, and manual or PC programming capabilities. Given the use of an alkaline battery, it’s unlikely that the explosions were caused by battery surging or overheating, which points towards a more deliberate act of sabotage.

My comment:
From several sources, the experts are saying it had to be a planted bomb inside the pagers that exploded by a remote signal, all at one time, not only in Lebanon but in Syria as well.
It is highly probably that a scheme was hatched to sell the Hezbollah group these pagers, as an upgrade, and give them a "special" deal to transfer to the new pager.
This is reminiscent of how the Israelis planted the computer virus into the nuclear research computers in Iran.

It is also obvious this was saved until a particular time schedule, which may signal an offensive attack against Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria. Or possibly a pre-emptive attack against Hezbollah and Iran. This is without a doubt, a ramp up to something major. GE
