Please sign the petition in support of Adam Smith-Connor, Christian, patriot, ex-serving soldier in the Middle East and loving family man who is the latest law-abiding citizen set to face court on September 17th, 18th and 19th in Poole Magistrates, for no more than peacefully and silently raising his thoughts to God in a public place where he was lawfully present.
Nearly two years ago, on the 11th of November 2022, he was assured by two police officers that praying silently in that location was legal. And yet on the 24th November two community police officers employed by BCP Council, reported him for silently praying, resulting in his being issued on the 13th December with a fine. Some would say this was entrapment. Adam has since refused to pay.
Reports suggest that Keir Stama, like other former Public Inquisitors is now actively considering naming silent prayer as a criminal offence in government guidance.
Not only does the government believe it has the authority to invade the womb and tear out the beating heart of a child but also the right to search our hearts to see if there be any political incorrectness there.
As Christians we believe our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, The Bible describes every Christian as a priest who is commanded to pray without ceasing. We are commanded to tear down arguments and every presumption that sets itself up against the knowledge of God; and we must take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Even imagining or attempting to contrive to desecrate the temple of the Holy Spirit by banning prayer is a crime against the Holy Spirit that will not go unpunished – if not in this world, then certainly with hell-fire in the next
Freedom to life and freedom of thought and conscience are our most basic and precious of rights – and have long been recognised in British law and every major human rights document from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights onwards.
Yet these hard-fought-for rights are under threat in the wake of recent criminal proceedings against Isabel Vaughan-Spruce (twice) and Fr Sean Gough, who were subjected to arrest and prosecution for the thoughts taking place in the privacy of their mind near abortion centres.
Retired scientist, Livia, is also facing trial for holding a sign outside the clinic reading, "HERE TO TALK, IF YOU WANT". She explained to the police that she was offering to hold a conversation with anyone about anything that was on their mind apart from abortion. If however they indicated that they wanted to talk about abortion she was willing to walk to a place outside the buffer zone and talk about it there.
Yet, even though Isabel Vaughan Spruce and Fr Sean Gough were finally acquitted by the criminal courts and compensated by the police, ideologically driven councils have continued to pursue criminal proceedings, and will continue to do so using the process as a form of punishment, as long as it is us, the tax payers, who continue to pay the compensation, rather than those councillors, police personnel and politicians who are personally responsible for this outrage. They not only traitorously and maliciously imagine and contrive the destruction of over 250,000 children in the womb every year - and attempt to conceal the crime by gagging those who expose the genocide taking place - but expect to do so with impunity.
The weapon of choice that has allowed the creation of thoughtcrime is Public Spaces Protection Orders ("PSPOs"). These were introduced by the government to curb antisocial behaviour and force dog owners to pick up their dog waste. They were not designed to allow inadequate councillors drunk on power, to control the minutia of our lives. "I think therefore I am a criminal" puts a new twist on Descarte's dictum "Cogito, ergo sum."
Today, it's pro-life views that offend progressive social orthodoxies; tomorrow, it will be banning praying for the conversion of lost souls. After this it will be coercing people to pray and offer sacrifices to Baal and Moloch. This is already happening.
