Typhoon Shanshan threat forces mass evacuations in #Japan

An evacuation order has been issued for 845,000 people on the Japanese island of Kyushu ahead of the expected arrival of Shanshan, while businesses are suspending work. Toyota has stopped all its production lines.

Subways have been flooded, train services halted over 230 flights canceled or postponed and several expressways have been blocked amidst a risk of reservoir flooding and landslides

🇯🇵🌀The typhoon currently hitting Japan is moving very slowly. This is definitely intentional, and I believe this typhoon is playing a very important role. Right now, it's directly impacting the remote island of Nakanoshima in Kagoshima Prefecture. The images show Nakanoshima's live camera and weather map as they are now.
