So, Tim Walz is lying about his military deployment? That is not a surprise. He is just fashioning his history as does his fearless leader, Joe Biden, who takes the center stage and top prize for lying about almost everything in his pathetic past. I read a story in grade school about a character named Walter Mitty. His imagination knew no bounds in rewriting his history or present performance. He was forever the hero in his own mind. That is who Biden reminds me of. But, in the age of the Internet, there is no way that anyone can restructure their past without being called out on it. I think John Kerry has had experience with that.
Perhaps Walter Mitty incarnated this time around as Tim Walz. Stolen valor is a good name for what these cretins do, bragging about their non-existent ‘service to their country.’ As long as they can meet up on weekends, don a uniform and play at being soldiers, they are front and center. But, when it looks like they might have to become real soldiers and, OMG, get shot at with real bullets, their courage takes a hike and they are nowhere to be found.
Do the Libtards meet in the dead of night and try to decide the very worst possible candidate to run as Harris’ VP? There have to be decent Democrats who could fill that slot like West Virginia Senator, Joe Manchin or Robert Kennedy Jr. Oh, wait. He walked away from the Democratic Party, as I did. And, it looks like Manchin will not run again. It seems that many of the Democrats I know and respect have either switched to the Republican Party or registered as Independents. The Party of misfits and criminals couldn’t take a chance that someone with a brain and moral integrity would contaminate their Party. And, if you don’t lean Marxist/Socialist, you won’t feel comfortable in today’s Democratic Party.
It isn’t that the Republicans have never had their share of cowards and liars. The Village Idiot from Texas comes to mind. His supposed four year tour in the Air National Guard, his record of service was sketchy to put it mildly. In researching, it looked to me like he had a lot of his father’s hangers on covering or lying for him, no doubt sucking up to daddy. Especially during G-Dubs re-election campaign in 2004, those people searching for records of his military service, discovered that they had been lost, with no paper copies for proof. How convenient! There was one story going around that he had been bounced out of the Air Guard after he destroyed a plane trying to land it on a ship. Entirely possible. But, I couldn’t verify that. And, it is possible that it was scrubbed in time for his first campaign run. Those who served with him during that time had nothing kind to say about him. In fact, one said that he was likable enough, but acted more like a frat boy, partying his way through college. I would say that is about right.
I’m sure there have been others of the same ilk. However, if you don’t want to serve in active combat, there are other ways to serve your country. The Quakers have managed. But, don’t lie about it. My husband will admit that he burned his draft card in the 60’s. When his father, a veteran of WWII, confronted him about it, he told his dad, “If anyone tries to invade our country, I will be the first one to grab a gun and go defend this country. But I don’t know these people. They haven’t done anything to me. And, I’m not going to kill people on the other side of the planet to make our war mongers in D.C. happy.”
I have also taken care of veterans in various stages of ill health. Some were on oxygen (agent orange?). Some were missing various body parts, who wished they had made a different decision. I would bet since Obama feminized our military, they will play hell getting people to sign up enthusiastically as cannon fodder. I’m also sure the real men and women in the military are so proud to salute Secretary Austin or identify with Admiral Levine. These people, instead of letting the rest of the world know how inclusive we are, have confirmed the truth of how our country has become the laughing stock of the rest of the world. I doubt if you will see any of Xi’s or Putin’s military wearing lace teddies, high heels or push up bras.
Lastly, one of my serious pet peeves are these Congress critters who seem to forget that their voting record is public knowledge. How they voted on any issue is there for the world to see. Why would they try to lie and white wash their voting record? As I recently reminded one of our representatives, “You do know that how you vote on any issue is right there forever, for anyone to see?” She assured me that she had never voted in favor of any red flag gun law. I said, “That’s funny when I looked up how you voted on a red flag gun law just as soon as you got to D.C., it was most certainly marked as a yes.” I recommended that she straighten that out right away because someone must have stolen her identity. I’m pretty sure, from the stink eye I got, she picked up on the sarcasm. The last thing I said was, “Shall not be infringed means just that.” Then she said she had voted yes on it to get it moved out of committee because it had been stalled there. So, which is it, you never voted yes or you did vote yes to move it out of committee? It’s really hard to carry out a lie. You always have to try to remember what you said in the first place and hope not to out yourself. She knows I will watch her closely. If she wants to be in the same RINO club as Liz Chaney, she’s made a good start. And, I will make sure that her supporters know what she is voting for in their name.
As for terminal stupidity, it is breathtaking for me to watch this Party implode. Do they think their supporters are blind, deaf and dumb? Each of us former Dems have tried for a while to make excuses for various candidates. I did with Obama. I was so pleased to have lived long enough to see a black family in the White House as something more than the kitchen help or even Secret Service, that I tried to overlook some of the information I uncovered about his true motives. Finally, as I watched him fill his administration with self-proclaimed Marxists/Socialist/Communist/ like Cass Sustein, I just couldn’t lie to myself any longer. What a disappointment to realize that the president of the United States was a snake, intent on doing everything in his power to destroy America. I will always maintain that if there were any justice in this world, MLK would have been our first black president. And, in my opinion, Obama wouldn’t make a good scab on the ass of MLK.
