Putin's generals AGAIN embellished their war report and didn't tell him how big the invasion was. They also told him it was stopped, when in fact they not only were not stopped, more troops poured in from Ukraine to back up the initial invasion. In addition to that, it is assumed that the invasion was backed up by F-16s that were recently sent from the US.
This was accomplished even though the Russians had satellites watching Ukraine and were saying they would destroy the F-16s as soon as they arrived. Obviously that didn't happen.
It is clear that if the Russians want to reverse this deep incursion miles inside the Russian territory, they will have to either have to use massive amounts of troops and high tech equipment, including bombing runs. Or, they will have to resort to using tactical nukes to incinerate the Ukrainian troops which number between 1,000 and 2,000 so far - and thousands more on the way.
It must also be realized that this expertly planned invasion was a bold move that could only have been accomplished by highly trained foreign mercenary troops, paid for with US money. GE

Fighting in Kursk, Russia Area: Ukraine Has amassed 20 to 30 Thousand Troops

The situation on the border within the Kursk Oblast remains tense, amid the build-up of Ukrainian forces. According to a source close to the special services, 20,000 to 30,000 Ukrainian servicemen equipped with the latest NATO equipment are concentrated in the border areas of Ukraine.
This fact indicates that the current operation is far from over, but on the contrary, may continue with increased intensity. Information about the significant concentration of Ukrainian troops confirms the assumptions that this operation was carefully planned and coordinated with Kyiv's Western allies.
