Trembling World In “Wait And See Situation” After Assassination “Red Line” Crossed

A gravely concerning new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting former Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of the Palestinian Authority and current Hamas politburo chief was assassinated this afternoon in Tehran after attending the swearing in of new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, says Hamas representative Mahmoud Takh quickly declared: “The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran is a cowardly act that was carried out after receiving the green light from the United States”, then Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei proclaimed to the world during a nationwide televised address: “Following this bitter, tragic event which has taken place within the borders of the Islamic Republic, it is our duty to take revenge”.

In response to the assassination of the top Hamas negotiator working with the United States to end the Israeli war on Gaza, this report notes, top Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declared: “Moscow strongly condemns this attack, as it resulted in the death of Haniyeh...Such actions are aimed against attempts to establish peace in the region and can significantly destabilize the already tense situation”—Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian condemned the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh and worryingly stated: “Beijing is deeply concerned that this incident may lead to further instability in the regional situation”—and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Than, who has acted as a mediator in ceasefire negotiations, questioned: “How can mediation succeed when one party assassinates the negotiator of the other side”.

Also in response to the assassination of Hamas negotiator Ismail Haniyeh, this report continues, socialist Biden Harris Regime official Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed to CNA journalist Teresa Tang in Singapore: “This is something we were not aware of or involved in...One of the things that we’ve been focused on is trying to make sure that the conflict that occurred in Gaza doesn’t escalate...We’re going to continue to do that as well”—a claim immediately countered by retired CIA intelligence officer and State Department counterterrorism official Larry Johnson, who warningly observed: “The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh clearly had the support and foreknowledge of the United States and the United Kingdom...I say that because we also have news reports now coming in that the US and UK warships are headed into the Mediterranean...On one of the US ships is probably a Marine Expeditionary Unit...This is extremely dangerous...This attack on Haniyeh was so blatant that I don't think there will be any restraint on the part of Iran or Hezbollah...I think that this may in fact have been crossing a red line...It is extremely worrisome because this has the hallmarks of being able to spin out of control...As it is, we're now in a situation of wait and see”.

Exposing the blatant lie that the socialist Biden Harris Regime wants peace anywhere in the world, this report details, one need only look at their warmongering support for a Ukraine that has already lost its needless conflict with Russia—a needless conflict that today saw the Ministry of Defense (MoD) revealing Russian battle groups killed 1,400 enemy forces in Ukraine during the past 24 hours, and the Kiev Post reported this morning: “Russian troops carried out one of the most massive drone attacks in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion early on Wednesday, 31 July, with Kyiv being the main target...The air alert lasted more than seven hours...Russian drones entered Kyiv in waves and from nearly every possible direction”.

A few hours after the assassination of Hamas negotiator Ismail Haniyeh, this report concludes, the Ministry of Defense announced: “The third stage of non-strategic nuclear drills has begun in accordance with the Russian president's decision...The exercise is aimed at practicing ways to prepare the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons”—and as Russian tactical nuclear weapons are being deployed today to their combat positions, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova proclaimed about nuclear weapons talks with the United States: “At this point, we see neither any real interest from Washington to engage in dialogue nor any reason to launch it”.
