While the youtuber (Tim Gracyk) gave Conway's recording date as 1917, the record actually peaked at #4 on the Billboard charts in Aug 1919.

Patrick Conway was born on July 4, 1865, in Troy, New York. His parents soon moved to moved to Homer, New York.
According to Edison's Amberola Monthly of February 1921, "he began his musical career while working in a carriage factory, where a fellow worker sold him a cornet, agreeing, at the same time, to teach him how to play on it."
Victor catalogs report that he was "an instructor in band music at Cornell University before he became director of the Ithaca Band, Ithaca, N.Y., 1895, which has since developed into 'Conway's Band,' known from coast to coast of America." He directed the Cornell Cadet Band until 1908. In that year he renamed the Ithaca Band to Patrick Conway and His Band, always called Conway's Band on Victor records.
His was a professional civilian band that toured though never as widely as Sousa's or Liberati's. Like most other famous bands characterized as "military bands," including Sousa's, his was a concert--never a marching or parade--band. In August 1903 Conway's Ithaca Band played the first of many Willow Grove Park concerts in the Chelten Hills part of Philadelphia, where prominent bands and symphonies played each summer from May 1896 onwards.
Renamed Conway's Band, it returned to Willow Grove Park many times, as late as 1925. It played season after season at Young's Million Dollar Steel Pier in Atlantic City. In 1915 it played for ten weeks at the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco. The January 1917 Victor supplement includes a photograph of Conway's Band, consisting of about 40 musicians, during its San Francisco engagement. Instead of employing musicians year-round, he generally assembled musicians on a pickup basis to play for summer engagements.
His reputation was such that he was able to engage excellent musicians, including cornet soloist John Dolan and saxophonist H. Benne Henton. In 1919 he added a winter engagement in Florida.
Conway's Band recorded a wide variety of numbers, including ragtime, waltzes, marches, cakewalks, musical show and popular song medleys (a medley was often called a "medley fox trot" or "medley one-step"), one-steps and two-steps, overtures, parodies. Conway's Band recorded for Victor from 1912 to 1918.
