As a healthy mature man in the U.S., I feel a normal healthy imperative to protect women and children. If anyone questions that basic drive, you might want to go elsewhere. I’m coming from the basic premise that for adult men to be protective of females of all ages and of all children is a basic given of human life.
One of the things I learned about females during my journey is that no male can ever fully understand the extent to which all women, especially young women and attractive women, have to be perpetually looking out for their safety.
We’re allowing men who “identify” as females to go into public and school bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms that are for women? Are we nuts? If you’re a male, you can’t imagine how that feels to a woman or worse yet to a girl. It’s at the core level of the nervous system, even beyond what most of those females are consciously aware of – a fear for basic safety that surpasses “logic.” It’s wholly unfair.
Sports is not much different. LGBTQ+ can do whatever they want if it does not impinge on normal hetero women and children, and by “children” I’m even including teenage boys who are feeling their way in life.
I suspect there are forces that want to destroy our country who use the freedoms of social media and such to impose on those in government positions this mad notion that teaching children gender choices is good. I don’t know how else we can explain it. Either that or the few LGBTQ+ members in our society feel so driven to make more people like them that they’ve been doing an amazing job of “lobbying.”
We teach A B C D E F G because until we do that they have no innate knowledge about it. We can’t fully say the same thing about gender choices since to some extent gay and lesbian orientations exist in nature in many species of wild animals, which is probably a good barometer for what is “normal” and healthy. But the percentage in human society has been growing like crazy over the recent years.
Suggesting children question their gender when they never naturally questioned it is teaching them deviations from the healthy, natural flow of life, just because some people decided to teach that.
We wore long hair and bell bottoms as boys when I was a teenager. Why? Because the others were doing it. Peer influences and the drive to be liked, to fit in, and to be cool, are as strong as it gets for children.
I met a girl in a hair salon who was covered in tattoos and as she cut my hair we had a pleasant, casual chat. She said she recently decided she was gay and explained how she made that decision. “I was intrigued by a gay character in Harry Potter and decided that seems cool and I want to be like her.”
Seriously?
Meanwhile, nowadays parents are told by school boards they don’t refer to young children as boys and girls, and in fact won’t reveal to the parents what it is they do teach the children about sex and gender.
Come on, folks. I’m all for accepting people for who they are and letting people love whoever they want to love, but isn’t it our responsibility as adults to be a bit, well, responsible in what we teach children when it comes to something as basic as sexuality?
Here’s what I think we should be teaching children about gender and sex:

Life is a magical mystery of biology and awareness. We don’t know how most of it even works. How do know to eat when you’re hungry and sleep when you’re tired? How do mothers know to take care of their babies at all costs? What makes those ducks on the lake mate and clean themselves and eat?
We don’t know. It’s a magical mystery of life that we’re a part of, and we can honor and be in awe of it.
One of the core aspects of being a human living organism is sexuality, and a basic component of that is gender. There are males and there are females. That’s how nature has created almost all animal life on this planet. It’s certainly not unique to humans. It’s one thing to learn about a penis and vagina and how the sperm fertilizes the egg and all that. That’s not the topic we’re addressing here today. But it’s a good jump-off point.
How does the sperm know to swim to the egg? We don’t know. How does it know to enter and fertilize the egg? We don’t know. How does the mix of chromosomes from the two parents magically combine to create new, unique features like a nose and everything else that form in a healthy way and are a blend of the features of the two parents? We have no idea. That’s part of the mystery of life.
What we want to talk about today is that the attraction of the sperm to the egg is built into the fabric of life somehow, and so is the entire spectrum of sexuality and the attraction that accompanies it. In order to perpetuate life, and perhaps also in order to make life more pleasurable and make life itself more worth living, males and females are sexually attracted to one another in ways we’ll never understand.
Two extremes of feelings can be observed. One is that when the desired mate is there and is responding in a favorable way, it feels incredibly wonderful. And the opposite exists as well: when the desired mate or mates are not responding in a favorable way, it’s one of the most horrible feelings in the world. That’s one of the basic ways that the force of life and flow of life within humans and most animals ensures life perpetuates and is joyful. Most songs are written about it. Most fashion and self-care revolves around it.
Where one fits in in their peer groups can play a big factor in the way the opposite sex responds. Social dynamics play a huge role in how successful we are in attracting and having the companionship of the most desired sexual partners. Many factors are at play.
Much of it can be said to be driven by hormones, but that’s just one small part of the process that we can observe and point a finger at. It explains quite a bit, but only a small portion of the whole process.
Speaking of hormones, in today’s world we have messed up the food supply with commercialization to such a degree that a lot of food contains hormones that can wreak havoc on the normal healthy proper hormonal functioning of an individual. That’s something to consider for society to work on improving and for individuals like yourself to consider in terms of what you put in your body and in terms of how you feel about gender.
Male and female aspects exist in all people. Males have some female aspects and vice versa. The main hormones that are associated with male and female characteristics exist in both males and females. Men have more male hormones; women have more female hormones.
There are some people who naturally are hormonally and genetically disposed to being more male or female than their genitals and overall body parts would suggest. That’s fine. We should honor and accept those people just like we would want to be honored and accepted.
At the same time, we have a much bigger job to do as adults and that is to be responsible in how we educate and support the overwhelming majority of children since they will not naturally have those deviations from the norm. They will have their challenges just being themselves, which may not be easy.
When one has the partner they desire and all is well with their love life, it feels wonderful. But as we said, when one does, it feels horrible.
Cells and nerves and juices in the stomach, thoughts, and imagination, all push you to have a successful journey of interaction with the opposite sex. As adults, we’re here to help you to enjoy that journey.
We can teach about being a young man, and about healthy masculine nature and honoring and being protective of a young woman physically and emotionally. That should go without saying, or perhaps it should be a training in and of itself. We can also teach about being a young woman and about healthy feminine nature. Some cultures make a serious effort to train a young man on being a man and a young woman on being a woman. That’s something we are now working on and are increasingly doing more of.
Some cultures talk about the love that can exist between a young man and a young woman. They teach about physical intimacy and they teach about the emotional aspects of romantic or sexual interactions.
In the U.S. for some reason that’s been sorely lacking. We’re here to help you with that by starting with the basics. The first area to address is the challenge of being successful socially and being successful in those romantic pursuits – and the challenge of how to navigate things if it’s not going very well for you.
The need to be with another person physically is so strong and it can feel so horrible when it’s not working out the way we want that it can drive us to all kinds of unhealthy behaviors in order to deal with the emotional pain. Some people go to drugs and alcohol, some to violent outbursts to try to make the pain go away, and some might reach out to others of the same sex out of desperation to be intimate.
We’re here to help you with the joyous aspects of sexuality and attraction. We’ll be providing you with training, coaching, and support in how to navigate all aspects of success or lack of success in having the desired partners. We can do a lot to help that all work out on the positive side of the spectrum for you.
What we will caution you about first and foremost is that too much of current society has gone off balance in encouraging young people to question and even ignore their innate sexual nature, and to instead reach out to someone of the same sex to fulfill the need for connection, touching, warmth, someone to care for and to be cared for by, and even for sex itself, of which all of that is a part.
There are healthier ways to navigate this than going to someone of the same sex. And for those who advocate questioning your natural male or female nature, we suggest you look to nature in all of its forms all around you, marvel at animal life in all its forms, be in awe, and honor that magical nature.
Give it time. Let yourself grow. It will be an adventure you cannot predict. We’re here to help you honor the opposite sex and your own male or female nature and be the best young man or young woman you can be, to have a partner or partners who really nourish each other – with minimal emotional hurt. There are many ways to relate to and channel sexual drive and all that goes with it in healthy ways, regardless of how things go with success in having the most desired of partners at a given moment.

Maybe we need to bring together some experts to create a coaching and support program for the children, and even more so for the parents and other adults in positions of authority over the kids. Maybe I’ll make that one of the projects of the nonprofit I’m building called Champions for Humanity.
Heck, maybe we need to make sex workers a legal thing, or at least have a mature organized program for “hugs” and maybe even “affectionate massages” for those who are longing for affection.
Maybe we need to gather stats on how many mass shooters and others in jail for violent crimes have been sorely lacking in that basic need for healthy male-female affection and intimacy.
We have a lot we can do to mature as a culture, and this basic area of gender and sex is a key area ripe for evolving into a more enlightened culture than the ridiculous way we seem to have been handling it.

I’m working to genuinely accelerate the evolution of using wealth and investing in ways that consider the impact on humankind and the planet.
