Activity has begun: NATO is practicing a push to Russian borders
NATO is exploring options for transferring American troops to the borders of Russia in the event of an attack by Russian troops on one of the alliance countries. The British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reports this. The alliance is considering at a high level the scenario of an armed conflict with Russia, which allegedly harbors plans for aggression against European countries, in particular the Baltic states.
The NATO command believes that in the event of such a development of events, the main hope will be on American troops, which will need to be redeployed closer to Russia. The existing main corridor through the Netherlands, Germany and Poland could be blocked by Russian troops, so several alternative routes have been developed.
..According to the head of NATO's Joint Support and Logistics Command (JSEC), Alexander Solfrank, the presence of such routes will give the alliance "flexibility" in case of different situations. Among the alternatives being considered: Italy - Slovenia - Croatia - Hungary; Greece - Bulgaria - Romania; Türkiye - Bulgaria - Romania and Norway - Sweden - Finland.

It is they, in the opinion of the alliance command, that will be able to have a decisive influence on the course of the conflict. Thus, the development of alternative troop routes and the removal of bureaucratic barriers are necessary measures to ensure NATO's readiness for any challenge.
