Never got a credit card, always lived within my means, we checked out rent prices before going for a flat and always went for the low end, always bought used cars, never did anything stupid enough to bury myself. There were many years I made way more than I needed, and I 'adopted' a few two legged pets during these times, one which I made the mistake of marrying for a while, though the price was having to work incredible amounts of hours, but hey.

I'm not in this mess, and I can't say I feel sorry for those who couldn't see the forest for the trees.

And for those who are status conscious, Ferraris and designer clothes don't impress me. It just proves to me that you're misprioritised and I don't want you in my life as being more than a casual acquaintance.
