Buffalo Storm 2022: I'm OK now. Final Total: 17 Inches In Street
The back of all our houses had to endure GOD HATES US ALL snow and wind from Friday 8:30am to Sunday 1am. (Slayer reference from song "Disciple".)
Final Snow Total: 17 Inches in the street, 28 Inch Drifts On Lawn
I started at 8am shoveling the front walkway. The wind created snow that almost is ready for igloo blocks. This is not snowman snow. The blocks you create while shoveling fall apart if you handle the block too hard. This is not normal snow.
I struggled to snow blow 28 inches with the 24-inch Craftsman I fixed up. The snowblower kept rising up the drift. I took care of the drift in front of my garage with the snow blower.
My two younger neighbors came out later and helped finish the end of the driveway after they finished the end of theirs.
When you're about 55 you have to accept help shoveling 28 inch drifts. We all finished by 2:30pm. That's pretty speedy for a Buffalonian I think.
This is a day where it's hard to help shovel your neighbor's sidewalk. There's too much snow. My neighbors avoided shoveling their own front walkway also. We cannot get anywhere.
These are the kinds of grandpas that blowed snow in 1939. Tough rugged people with a MEAN MMA-style left leg from all the plow shifting. These are the guys you wanted in the Shin Kicking contest in England!
