We talk about the USD and its hegemony - the high oil price and instability pulls people into what they see as a safe haven - superficially at least. I argue this is good if the United States is to remain dominant. Not bad. But it could also be indicative of unfolding events in Ukraine as greater and greater trading and military blocs are formed ie: Russia and China, and India...dominating Asia.
