BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | October 13, 2022: The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, on Thursday said the TurkStream pipeline was being targeted by saboteurs plotting to blow up a section of the string which delivers Russian natural gas to Türkiye, but the suspects were detained.

Peskov said: "Certain forces … have already made an attempt on TurkStream. The saboteurs have been caught, and several people have been arrested. They wanted to blow it up. On our territory, on soil."

If the saboteurs were not caught in time, the ones wanting to destroy the pipeline, the event would neutralize - Moscow's proposal to announce turning Türkiye into a hub for Russian gas, to re-export to European consumers, Kremlin spokesman Peskov said while speaking on the sidelines of an international summit in Astana, Kazakhstan.
