Dear RM Agents and Readers,

I refuse to abide by stupid laws that have no merit, especially ones that are made to just put a boot on the back of the necks of the people.

Today I walked into this store that I shop at 4 times at least a month if not 10 or more. As I'm walking in I see and old friend from my junior high days which was when I first moved back to this area. He was retiring from that very store and I had recalled back when we were boyfriend and girlfriend for a week in Junior High. This sweetheart of a guy is half Black and half Mexican and his wife is a sweetheart as well and friends with so many of the folks I went to school with.

It was during our time in Junior high that on one occasion we were asked to come into a classroom because several of the lady teachers wished to have a discussion with us.

OMG, when we got in the room we looked around and not sure why they had pulled this group in, no Mexicans, Indians or Blacks among this group of 15 or so (white) girls.

We were informed that we should stick to our own kind (meaning white). I assure you this did not go over well with any of the girls in the room.

Many of us were going steady for a couple weeks here or there with whomever, color be damned. It was the 70's and we were into sit ins and standing up if teachers or authority got out of line.

I spoke up to several teachers over the days and often to a standing ovation of classrooms. Kids aren't stupid and when teachers place themselves into places of authority that contradict general respect of others; someone will stand up.

One teacher was talking about one girls mom and everyone knew who he was talking about. The girl had a lot of problems as did the mom but putting this girl down in front of the whole class was just way over the top. She ran out of the class crying and I stood up and explained why his actions were crap.

So I'm at a store asking for my ID again; this time it is a woman I know. She says I know you are old enough to puchase alcohol but nontheless we have to start asking for ID.

I stated very, very loudly, you are my friend and I won't come back and shop at this store again, that way you won't have to get in trouble. However, enough people stand up and folks will lose their jobs because folks will go elsewhere.

I loudly stated, the law of Utah is that if I look over 30 (and I'm not quite receiving medicare yet) then I don't have to show my ID. There is actually a trick that bartenders often use and it worked for me every time but I did ID a person who was 30 once. Yet, most of the time I was right on.

My friend said, yes I know but we aren't going by the law of Utah we are going by the corporate law. Oh, I said, Like bowing to the CCP and getting brown lips, not me, not today, not any day!!!

I loudly stated if the folks in the store want to bow to Communist China, that is their business and it is mine where I take my business.

Another store I walked out of over a month ago has lost about 2000. of business I was bringing there as I pick up so much for other folks.

I can pick and choose where I shop as well! My final statement before I left the store was that my children and Grand Children will not have a life because I was to afraid to stand up to the bastards! What about you?
