Since 2008 the US financial system changed a lot of the banking rules. In those new rules they said they wouldn't be bailing out banks as before. If a bank or financial house fails, it is allowed to go bankrupt, or collapse and become insolvent. Period.

They will pay the bank depositors up to the maximum amount allowed through the FDIC, but the financial institutions themselves won't be bailed out as before. This also applies to stock market companies and hedge fund companies as well. If some of them fail, it will then take down the stock market as well.
That means that the tricks the feds did to prop up the banks, financial houses and the stock market in 2008 - will no longer be used. They have determined in advance to allow the next financial crash to go down on its own.

When you add that fact to the dire straits the economy is in right now, it is obvious we are going to see a very painful and massive economic collapse. It will most likely happen within 2 years, but they may wait until a republican is elected. If they can hold it off that long.

What are we facing in the near future?

housing prices collapse
food, fuel and supplies increase in cost
inflation hits everyone for all goods
bankruptcies across the nation
large corporations going out of business

some automakers going out of business(no bail out)
homeless numbers increase drastically
the FED will implement a national income stipends to prevent abject poverty

unemployment reaching great depression levels
Drug use will increase
Suicides will reach epidemic levels
Crime will be rampant in the urban areas
Murder rates will increase
Cities will start to burn down
Domestic terrorist laws will be implemented
Gun laws will increase
